I'd be looking at that. Players+Cash. We desperately need a decent DM, plus he can also play centre back.
We need to stop having a hissy fit about losing out on Raphinha and Kounde, and actually look at what is good for Chelsea. Moving on two slow, ageing, declining full backs and getting a good defensive midfielder who is absolutely in his prime is a sensational prospective deal.

So was that his mistake or our mistake?  If your employer offered you better terms to stay, you’d more than likely accept. But his development is being shorted by Ziyech, Pulisic and Werner who have all been given more opportunities for runs in the team..without consistent success. 

I'm honestly surprised that so many top players still want to go to Barcelona.  History yes, but they have mortgaged the club just to sign players.  They've been run worse than a football manager team to the point that it cost them Messi.  They're consistently overpaying players and then asking players to take pay cuts.  They're trying to push players out the door just to try and balance the books somewhat.  It doesn't seem like a solid foundation that I'd be excited to go to but it is what it is.  

I think many fans underestimate the fact that CHO has been only 20-21 years old, Mount at 21 got so much trust and minutes, for a profile like CHO you have to just deal with the fact that he's going to make sometimes bad decisions and sometimes he's going to waste attacks but if we were fine when Mount was doing that then CHO should also be given some levels of trust, obviously not 100% of the same trust as Mount had but even 50% would be good for him and honestly he didn't get that luxury yet.
The club gave him the bigger contract because of our own history of not being patient enough with other players that at some point simply needed the development games where they would waste time and waste attacks... Not to mention that Tuchel at some point tried to make him a full-back which was pretty bad, either you go all in with him being in the last line of attack or you sell him, there is no middle ground there and it's the fault of the club too that his development has taken a halt even if we're not prepared to admit it yet.

Exactly, a good team adds good players.  A great team adds top players, they add at the top which forces the others to step up.

We could have just contacted Deco and inquire, agents talk to clubs all the time. Deco would have said don't bother, Raphinha is only interested in Barca and that would be the end of it. Instead we ended up being publicly humiliated.

He threw a tantrum after losing as a kid and kicked out at his parent. I dare say most parents deal with that from a toddler at some point.
 

If we didn't have colwill and look to be getting de ligt I'd agree. With colwill coming through I can see Ake being first choice and being phased out into a back up for colwill. De Ligt is a powerful centre back and is commanding in the air and although Kounde has a great leap a centre back trio of Kounde Ake and Silva is on the short side. If we didn't have colwill I don't think we'd be looking at Ake and be looking at someone like Gvardiol instead. I think one of de Ligt and Kounde is what we should be aiming for and in my opinion de ligt is the better option.

Only someone who's never watched the French league and has a poor understanding of the game could think that.
The French league lacks quality but it's much more physical than the Premier league and the referees allow a lot more physicality than the Premier league.

Lukaku lacks the talent to ever play at the highest level.  Neymar obviously doesn't.
I can't help thinking most of Lukaku's unhappiness stems from him not being good enough for United,  moving to a weaker league and his ego convincing him that he's improved and he's a top class player only to come back here and find he's still not good enough for the top level and not one of the best strikers in England.
I don't think he has the mental strength to accept he just isn't very talented.
Neymar has talent to spare,  the Premier league is less physical than the French league.
If (and it's a massive if) he's motivated he'd be fantastic but it's a lot of money for a player who's motivation is in question.

Sterling is about playing time. I mean don't get me wrong, he may well earn more money at us or a new club, but with him it is primarily due to playing time and he wants to be playing regular. He was a sub very often for City last season.

Then what is taking so long? He's not on international duty so there is no excuse there. 
It honestly baffles me how incompetent we are in bringing players in, and it doesn't just go for this season. Liverpool and City tied down massive deals no problem but for us Sam and Frodo make it to Mordor and back before we buy a bloody Injury prone Dembele and Kounde.

If Nkunku signs an extension and then Nunez goes to Liverpool...does that mean that Lukaku stays?  Is Broja ready to lead the line?  I'm not really impressed with Havertz as a 9...I prefer him playing in behind the striker.

Aren't you the same guy that defends Pulisic and says he deserves another year when he was putting up 2 goal 2 assist seasons at Dortmund and has never had 18 g/a in a league season?

Dembele doesn't have the most impressive stats in the world but stats aren't everything, if they were Lukaku and Bruno would be world class players and both have never had the talent to play at the top level.
Dembele is ridiculously creative by every metric and creativity us something sorely lacking.  If we miss out on Dembele and have to watch another season of us passing it aimlessly from side to side because no one can beat a man, dribble at all or play in between defenders I don't know what I'll do.

The latest is that everyone around the deal expects it to get done. €65m should be enough and the deal should be completed by the end of the month. Remember guys the window doesn't open until tomorrow (10/06) I expect us to move quickly for targets once official window is open. 
Todd strikes me as the kind of guy that doesn't waste time. Once the window is open rather than hearing all this monitoring bs we may see deals come through left and right. They know how important it is for TT to have his players as early as possible for pre season to let them gel.
