James, Kante, Enzo, and Chilwell should be rested. 

Only 4 players that will make a difference come the end of the season.

If we play back three again, I wouldn’t mind seeing Chalobah, badiashile, fofana. Cucurella played better but I’d rather him stay away from LCB and stick to backing up Chilwell at LWB. KK has been so shaky and just awful so, enough said. So let’s roll with our three most athletic back three. Plus with James and Chilwell on the outside, we would be good. I’m sure our new coach Praham Gotter — I mean Bruno Saltor — wouldn’t agree  

granted the back end of the pitch isn’t the ultimate issue. I really think we should try to dribble it into goal this match instead of shooting or doing handballs

Yeah I think we can be pretty sure both Mendy and Mount will be straight back in the team.

Easy game, I mean relatively easy compares to all the top 10 teams we will be lined up in weeks to come 🤔 Assume Lampard be in charge, doubt he will rest players and settle for a draw. We desperately need a win and some goals, Madrid is a problem to be solved later.

You would imagine Lampard will keep the same formation and not change too much. Hopefully he can give them a rollicking to get them up for it.

I know he will probably just play the same system as we did against Pool but just to go by personnel, this is what it could be later in his short tenure.

Manager for 84 games in his first Chelsea stint ; played 5 at the back 15 times and 4 at the back 69 times.

44 games at Everton, split 50/50 between 5 and 4.

I think he'll play 4-3-3 given what we have in our squad. 

A repeat of this would be nice  🙂

There's a certain symmetry to this fixture and SFL

First EPL fixture after Frank got the tic tac was Wolves away, was TT's first game in charge he benched Mason and played experienced heads was 0-0

First EPL Fixture upon Frank's unexpected return is Wolves away, lets hope the score line improves in our favour on Saturday.

Why change the 3 at the back ? Its probably the formation best suited to the only attacking threats we have currently James & Chilly as wingbacks. Plus a 4 with KK is not a solid option defensively. Would need him benched and Fofana & BB as center halves in the 4 (cant see that happening as KK will feature vs Madrid where I reckon the back 5 is preferable to a 4 for dealing with Vinny J, Big Benz & co.). As for Kepa I'd say he may keep his place as Mendy hasn't featured for months.

0-1 will suit me fine
