Have to agree,it's now starting to get on my nerves, this club is in no-mans land at present, all we have is players we already have which some aren't good enough or youngsters who will need time,I feel they need to step back and rethink things.

Wages. If Todd wants to streamline the salary range and is clearly trying to get the high earners off the bopoks, then maybe this is the stumbling block

I doubt Deco would be poorly paid for his client to come here, better than Barca would pay I would guess given their troubles.

Personally I hope he goes Barca, I don't want CFC to be any player's second choice.  Especially if we are investing large sums of money in them, after Lukaku we need to learn our lesson. Barca are doing everything in their power to gather as much money as possible as we speak. Fingers crossed they get it sorted and sign him. Would we really want a player who dreams of Barca and as soon as theyre ready he'll be looking to leave us for them? Might not be after 1 season or 2 but you know they'll make him agitate for a move somewhere down the line

Well I'm sure we used to be. And it's not just those two, even bloody Spurs look a better bet than us now.
Look at the players we signed when Roman first came here. We'll never attract that quality now.
The EPL is widely regarded as the best league in the world, so why wouldn't the best players want to play in the best league?
I just don't get it, and if Raphinha or anyone else prefers some other club to us, then they can f**k off there as far as I'm concerned.
I'd rather we sign no-one if they don't really want to be here, and we just stick with our youngsters.

MY hope is thats because we are looking to get Gallagher into the team and change the formation and way we play. We do have top quality midfielders of almost every type at the club at the moment and should look to use them.
Also I`m not sure theres anyone out there of the quality or type of Fabregas to even go and try and sign, and if theres not I would rather we wait than just go get someone whos available.

TBH we need like 6 players, We have quite a pile of deadwood now i make it about 8 now!
No news on alonso, Cesar, Jorg then theres pulisic and we know ziyech lukaku and rudi gone plus chris
We need a turbo spree and to be fair looks like things are picking up now...

I think that's the main area we need to upgrade/strengthen after central defence.

Surely quite smart to try and offload a number of players who haven't performed to expectations, and that most of us have been complaining about ever since they arrived ?
It instantly sets the standard and raises the bar for those that remain, or are new arrivals ... a very positive move in my book.
