Romeo Lavia
Lavia is on 45k and Santos is on 35k. Both reflecting the fact that they’re below average midfielders and both are contracted to 2030 so they’re both going to be hard to move.

Which players do we Sell or Loan for the 26/27 Season?
Agree with everything but selling James won’t be easy. He’s got a good paying contract until he’s nearly 33 and who would be willing to replace that? The answer to your question about doing the same until he retires is probably yes. He’ll be 27 later this year, he knows he is past his best but he made a World Cup squad so he’ll think he is good enough to see out his time at Chelsea.

The current recruitment strategy for centre backs has been nothing short of pathetic and we need a wiser, calmer, head back there. Even on one leg he could probably play better than what we have.

Liam Rosenior - Chelsea Head Coach *Now Sacked*
Is saying that he was a Utd fan and suggesting that this “young Chelsea” can be like Utd’s class of 92 the right things at this time? No need to give the media any more fodder right now.

The Rudiger to Chelsea rumours make interesting reading.

Tomori, from a 2nd place team 😄 All we can do is hope that Rosenior is a lot better at coaching than Maresca was. The UEFA transfer restrictions will limit who we can get unless we sell a few first.

Apparently City are interested in him and, if true, it would have to be stupid money to make Palace and him look elsewhere.

Will banana cream pie do? 5 minutes down the road so if you line up a refrigerated container I’ll send some over.

Made even worse because Palace just broke their transfer record of 27.5m with a 35m Spurs reject.

Keeping it on is the lesser of two evils here. It’s 3 pm in eastern Canada and if I turn it off I’d have to go back to work :-)

Not just Chelsea, it’s footy generally. I read earlier that FIFA are going to create 3D avatars of all players at the WC. Apparently it’s intended to help with offside decisions. It’s not the game many of us grew up with and technology and negative tactics are sucking the life out of it.

I wouldn’t say tanked badly because we don’t put together a good string of wins. This season we are winning 4 out of 10 games, this isn’t a good win percentage and if we failed to get 6 points from consecutive games it is probably more par for the course rather than any level of tanking. We are also probably not even at 4 out of 10 against the teams we should be beating so how many of us would be surprised if we failed to beat those 2 teams. Rosenior seems to be getting credit for improving Strasbourg. I’m suggesting that the improvement happened all, or in part, due to having some better players in their squad. I don’t think anybody would disagree that Santos helped them significantly last season. If the players Chelsea has been loaning or selling to Strasbourg are not improving them questions need to be asked about why they are on our books.

Having not lost for nearly 3 months they lost their last 2 by 1 goal each but they would have needed all 6 points to get into the CL. In the meantime they were playing 2 teams needing wins for Ligue 1 survival. Saying they “tanked badly” is inaccurate. This season their goal difference is 5 which, considering two October wins were 5-0 and 3-0, isn’t very impressive. Like us they are only a few points from the bottom half of the table. Is the manager doing anything or are they better because of the relative quality of Chelsea players there?
