Gallas
Yeah, I know. Just saying maybe we should try to blood them in from now so they will be ready by the time Lamps and co. are retired.

Gallas
Agreed but Ballack, Lamps & Deco are on the wrong side of 30 so maybe we should include youngsters a few times a season from now...

Squad Worries
Why not give Michael Woods chances? What's the point of having these youngsters if we're always just gonna look for replacements outside the club?
-
Drogba
If he or other youngsters don't get chances, they will always be unproven.

Best Football Dives
:o I'd like to add: - Deco jumping up and challenging JT for kicking the ball to his face after he dived and faked an injury. - Robben falling down and holding his face after Reina softly slap him. - Messi rolling around theatrically when he saw the ref coming over to get Del Horno sent off after they bumped into each other.

Super Franky Lampard.
Noticed he's back to thumping the crest on his shirt again after stopping for a few seasons...

Yeah, well, still wouldn't be stamped out completely, is what I'm saying.

Good idea. Still wouldn't stop new divers from trying and appearing completely. It also might encourage them to learn to dive better. I mean, if I'm a criminal and I know how severe the punishment I can get if I'm caught, I'd try even harder not to get caught.

Uh, heroin? Seriously, tho', death sentences don't stop new serial murderers from appearing and killing people. Even when they know it's their lives on the line if they are caught. The FA can try hard to stamp diving out, but new divers would always appear. That's what I'm saying.

True, but then I'd call myself a hypocrite because to dive once in a while (and won a penalty for a REALLY important match) is okay while it is not okay to do it often. Robben's diving seemed to get worse as time goes when he was with us, so I thought if he isn't going to stop, he might as well do it properly and stop getting silly yellows instead of penalties/free kicks. I think it's because he gets them penalties and free-kicks with his diving, while Drogba's diving doesn't. They may not like it, but if his diving won them matches, how can they complain? Do death sentences stopped the serial murderers? No. Similar thing applies here...

Yeah, well, if somehow our divers dived in an important match and got us a penalty which won us the match. Imagine it's the Champions League final or the match which decide who wins the league (theory here)... I may not like it when he did it but I'd be lying if I say I don't want that penalty, you know?

TBH, I did wish Robben spent time learning how to dive properly before he went to R Madrid. Might as well do it well and get us penalties or free-kicks if he likes to dive a lot. :P

So he dives and roll around dramatically, doesn't mean he isn't 'world class' player. Leo Messi's theatrical roll-around when he saw the ref coming over against Del Horno was worse imo. How about Robben rolling around and holding his face after Reina softly pushed him? Granted, Reina shouldn't have pushed him in the first place but it doesn't excuse his theatrical and other dives. It doesn't mean those two players aren't 'world class', tho, does it?
