The difference there is the hammers appreciated him, didn't boo him and acknowledged what he did for them...man u fans on the other hand... But you're right, I can't see him doing it, but it would put a smile on my face if he did :o

Was just wondering...if Tevez scores will he do an Adebayor? :o

The fact that it was Tevez's "enthusiasm" that led to the goal really makes me happy :o Now if only they score another...

Argentina WC qualification squad
It really has been, as KrazyTea put it, "painful to watch"... Veron is just not good enough, and Maradona has quite frankly got it all wrong...he was a great player, but not even a decent manager. The defence is struggling alot, and the midfield isn't gelling. A Riquelme is missing... ;)

Diving
Still, it is one that was displayed before on animal planet :D I just hope this 5 referees thing will work out... ("Cheats like Eduardo"...I still think this whole incident is overhyped... -_- )

Diving
hmm...you might be right there about the one game not being enough...(and diving against liverpool is very tempting ) But with the straight red...I think awarding a red for a dive when there was contact is like adding insult to injury...not only did he not get the penalty, but he got a red as well... But again, you're right, it can be send for every other straight red offence.

Diving
I agree with most of your points loz but... Here, I think you're being a bit too harsh. I wouldn't agree with a red card offence for a dive as I think a yellow card is sufficient enough, especially if its during a match. Refs make mistakes and if they award a red card for a dive when actually there was contact and it was a penalty then people will still be outraged. Also, sometimes, forwards fall down anticipating contact and if they get a red just to try and avoind injury then I think thats a bit harsh (ofcourse, after a player falls down he can always stand up immediately, raise his hand, and explain to the ref he just thought he was going to get tackled) As for the bans for guilty diving, they might work after the match is reviewed, but again, I think you're being a bit too harsh (sorry! ) imo it would work well enough for a 1 match ban, and increased gradually, rather than 3. Players will surely take it as seriously as getting a red card in a game, especially if the dive was during a semi final or quarter final.

Diving
Isn't that the correct word thats thrown around these days to those who dive? "cheats"? ;) Anyway, RBJ got it spot on, and posted what I was going to post :D If its done by a rival team, its cheating, if its by our team, its clever.

Diving
I think this whole Eduardo dive thing has gotten a bit out of hand tbh...I mean, ok, he dived, he's a cheat etc etc, not the first time something like that happened. Ronaldo and Stevie starfish have done it alot more at more crutial times. I don't think its going to stop anytime soon unless video evidence is introduced...but to be asking for a ban? Isn't that a bit much? ;) Oh and while we're on the topic of diving...Many people claim that drogba "dives"...can someone pm me a link or video with evidence? cause tbh I always thought he just fell down a bit easily, albeit with contact, rather than "dive", and it really does p*ss me off when they compare him to the likes of those mentioned above (ie starfish and cronaldo) :D

chelsea are doing well...so a journo resorts to cliches
Journos LOVE to harp on the made up theme of chelsea being "boring" while Le Arse and Barca play "Beautiful" "fluent" passing football...I'm sorry but to me thats cr*p. I watch arsenal play, I watch barca play, and IMO they're game is no different from ours. You keep the ball, you pass it around/long ball/dribble, you put the ball in the net, you win. Those fancy triangles and runs they tell you arsenal use? well guess what, even my sunday league football team uses that, so are we entertaining? (not in the least cause we're still sh*te but thats beyond the point). What I'm trying to say is Chelsea's passing is as beautiful if not more so. Mikel has great passes, Lamps has AWESOME passes, and yet, not as highly praised as the likes of Fabregas, Iniesta, or the "king of passes" Scholes the great (Honestly everytime he makes a pass Martin Tyler has something no less than an orgasm). Its entertaining to me to see Chelsea play, to see the likes of Lamps and JT play, entertaining to me to see us score and win. We get stick for winning because we "bought" the league, and the only way the journos try to play it down is to brand us boring, so you know what, screw you all, cause in the end people remember winners not jokers.

brawl in training match?
Being an arab (middle eastern too) myself, I'm not offended and I completly agree. Middle eastern players tend to fight, argue, provoke and play act alot. If they're not on the ground feigning injury they're up the refs ass complaining. I'm actually very ashamed of such behaviour and I hate to see or hear about it... Don't get me wrong, we're nice people really, but I guess when it comes to football players take it more seriously than they should (thats what I tell myself anyway...its the "passion")

Transfer spending
I guess what I ment to say was Chelsea is looking MORE like a stable club...we have good foresight, hence the planning for long-term, rather than the stable current situation...which makes you absolutely right :)
-
Transfer spending
All great points and I have to agree. Chelsea is looking like a stable club financially and tbh I'm not too bothered that we are not paying as much as what we used to 2-3 seasons ago... And yet, the media will still portray chelsea as the club that "sold its soul" to money and "bought" the league...not that I care

The Shed End 2009/10 Fantasy Football League
Hmm...its going to be hard to try and explain my logic behind this but please bare with me -_- As an example, lets say 6 of my players play for chelsea, and chelsea is not playing next gameweek. If I leave it this way, I get points from only 5 players (not including subs). If I changed them now, I'll get points from 11 players. I can slowly bring back into the squad one chelsea player each week for free, and hopefully, before Chelsea plays the catch up game, will have my chelsea players back. The Chelsea players will play twice in the same week while everyone else plays thier normal game, and I get points from the whole team. I'm not sure if that made sense but I hope it did (and if it didn't, lets just say, from experience, I'll get a greater total of points) :)
