The only concern for me is the fact that he´s from Russian league. That means it takes a good amount of time for him to get ready for English league. Just look at Ivanovic, Zhirkov, Vidic, Arshavin. So IF we would sign him in January I don´t expect him to figure til March at least. Also he couldn´t play in CL, so as good a signing as he could be, I don´t think we sign him if the price isn´t reasonably low. We need someone like him but we need him asap.

Hope that Carlo will take something from it. Pretty much agree loz about the starting lineup thing. Would have seen some youngsters starting instead of coming in HT. 3 subs at half time were maybe a relfection and shows that players cannot expect to play bad and play 90 min, even in Carling. But it was a poor desicion to be honest. We weren´t lucky conceeding the goals we did but we were lucky when Paul gave us a chance. I never really though that Kakuta will take the final pen and I´m still amused. Though it would be Ivan or Mikel or someone like that. But it´s gone now and I just hope that the players and Carlo will learn from this and the result don´t have any further effects to our upcoming games especially on Saturday against confident City.

Portugese guys are making blunders after blunders today:S

And with their full squad:) DD gives so much to the team. It shows that without JT, Frankie and DD we don´t have a motivator on the pitch.

Collison wouldn´t be a bad deal and due to some previous transfer history between the sides and Wet Spam having some financial difficulties, I think we could get him for about 5M.

I think Zhirkov is more attacking minded and is not known for his defensive abilities. Paulo on the other hand is defensively better imo. So maybe that was the case?

Actually we´ve only won 2 out of our last 9 CL away games. Lost only once though so I expect another draw which will most probably seal our first spot as well. I hope we will field that kind of team: --------------Cech------------- Ivan-----Riccy-----JT------Yuri --------------Mikel-------------- -Essien-----------------Malouda ------ Deco----------Joey------- -------------Kalou--------------- Bench: Hilarious, Belletti, Ashley, Ballack, Kakuta, Borini, DD I hope we´ll give Anelka some rest. Hope that DD won´t have to start as well as we need him against Gooners and last time he played midweek CL game against Athletico (where he was briliant) he was fairly average against ManU. Riccy will hopefully start as well. Poroto haven´t been good lately and they are probably satisfied with the second place. They have a tough last game against Atletico in Madrid so even if they win this one against us, they still have a really tough fixture coming up. So a draw is probably a fairly good rasult for both teams and it´s important to get this match behind without any major injury worries.

Hope we don´t rush anyone back to fast. It´ll be very important that we have squad as good as possible for next weekend as at least a point is needed in Portugal and a good result on Sunday. I do not underestimate Wolves but we seem to be pretty confident at the Bridge this season and our squad have very good strength in depth imo. So we should give Mikel, Malouda, Joey and Alex a run as they didn´t play on Wednesday (Malouda only 30 mins). Hope to see Studge or Borini at least get some minutes as Drogs will probably miss out and Anelka played 120 min on Wednesday.

Hi, At the beginning of the season I was able to buy student tickets with my true blue membership. But recently I have noticed there is an aditional info now that says: Student True Blue Members only. So is it a new kind of membership or is it still possible for me to buy the Student tickets as I am studying and therefore should be eligable for student tickets? Cheers

I´ll certainly do. He was OK, nothing more. Definately not a MOM performance. But it is great to see him back and I hope that he is back in his best very soon:)

Saw the game and really liked Hutchinson! Seemed so calm with the ball and didn´t misplace a single pass. Also cleared 2 dangerous set-pieces and was very confident. IMO Joey wasn´t as good as some of you say. He didn´t take players one-on-one and mostly he just passed the ball to Lamps when he could. Good to see him back but I think there´s still lot of room for improvement. Yuri was OK but probably couldn´t still play 100%. But some nice crosses:) Ivanovic dealt with the long balls well and won almost every single header against that gooners´ boy. Borini is pretty fast but wasn´t very confident when needed. Got 1on1 but missed the opportunity. MOM still Hutch!

Will be a hell of a game! At least I hope as I´ll be there cheering the team. Drogs, Boswinga and maybe even Joey give us an extra dimension and I think that Spurs without Modric are not going to challenge us if we are at our best.

I think it´ll be 3-1. Porto certainly no pushovers and despite losing some key players they still are quite a force and I think they´ll gonna get to the knockout phase as well. 2xLamps(1 pen) and Essien are on the scoresheet and for them it´ll be Hulk. Drogs and Bossy are banned but I´ll see it as an opportunity for Belletti(or Ivanovic) and Studge to step in and have a go. Drogs and Bossy will get some deserved rest and are hopefully in good condition next Sunday.

Gonna go to the Arse-WBA game on Tue 22 as well as the ticket prices are really affordable:S Sitting of course in a Blue sector and hoping to see Robby Di Matteo´s team demolition over gunners youngsters:D

First Prem game tbh:D I´ve actually been there when we played against Levski Sofia in a CL group stage and against Wycombe in a pre-season match:P But they can´t beat a prem game against Spurs, can they?:(
