  1. You feckin retard, i said i replied to the point about 'media bias' and you turn around and say '12 man opposition'- isnt that the point about media bias? I never raised it, it was mentioned by the first poster and i feckin replied! What part of it dont you get????? I never resorted to insults before this post but all this bs about me 'claiming to be a chelsea fan' and being a prick/troll etc is childish m8. This is a feckin forum where people express their views you idiot! If you cant handle it, stop reading. There are other members on here like loz, sssdsss and barry bridges who dont share my opinion but they dont start crying, calling me a manc supporter! Seriously grow up...
  2. right so some reporter had a gun to JT's head and asked him to be such a thug and take money for tours of the bridge! I get how the media 'created' this but a man is supposed to have some feckin morals ffs, you simply cant deny that (i dont even think our blinkered supporters have even watched this video cuz JT is like a god to them)...And im sure someone 'created' the whole j.cole saga as well, right? He lured terry into blaming our club at England's press conference. Its funny noone here even picked up on this ;) And if im hijacking the thread, my apologies. Someone raised a point about 'media bias' and i simply replied to it! I support the Chelsea club and its players on the pitch, but never will support what prima donas like terry and cole do off the pitch! If that makes me a manc supporter, so be it :)
  3. I was referring to the apparent 'media bias' mentioned by barry bridges and simply citing examples where its clear that the stories arent just backpage rumours but are instead based on reality! time for my bedtime, afterall i am a little kid ;) Isnt it funny no one dared mentioning or starting a thread about terry criticizing the club over letting j.cole go! I've got nothing against chelsea players, in fact apart from ashley cole and terry, I dont remember 'trawling round' for stories about any other players! Fact is its time people stop worshiping these overpaid prima donas, give credit where its due and criticize them when they are wrong :)
  4. The j.cole thing was broadcast live on tv, google around if you want to see it. If you cant argue and have to resort to insults, then theres no point arguing with you m8! :)
  5. knew that was coming! 'apparent chelsea fan' lol ;) Never once did i say we aren't the best team in England! If you actually bothered to read my previous posts, i said i was over the moon when we won the double! The whole point of the argument was to get across the message that we 'only won by a single point' and the title was too close to call! If we want to achieve better things next season (cl), we'll have to improve-Simple! And with the current squad and signings like benayoun we will only move backwards! If you think that with this current squad, we stand a good chance of winning the cl (with teams like barca, madrid, inter, bayern) I simply dont know what to say...
  6. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hY59PkHQu3k Enjoy, btw this is just the short version :) Google around for the full one! and barry bridges, m8 did you even read my entire post? I actually said you raised a number of good points except for a couple (injuries, media)!! Seriously, this is turning out to be a crusade ffs.
  7. lol, back to square one! Im sure you'll agree the title was too close to call right?
  8. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/bizarre/3059153/Crowds-boo-Ashley-Cole-at-Sol-Campbells-wedding.html :) Just to make it clear, i dont support what the press do either (the school card reports were simple diabolical); they are scumbags in their own rights!
  9. ummmm still waiting for what you think of his criticism of the club over the j.cole saga (and no my dear friend this is not just made up b.s, he said this live on air) and the video clip (and no it wasn't photoshopped)
  10. And that exactly is what i am arguing! The point is we did lose these game X's (6 in fact, record for a title winning team) so they could have all decided the title had we not had luck on our side in games against manu (home and away), liverpool, portsmouth!
  11. If that ex player would have been in the england squad, yes i do think it would have been the same! If you think all that was just rumours (and you actually believe her coming out with that denial was after the reported payment by terry was just a coincidence), then m8 you're the fool! btw, never got to read what you think of his criticism of the club! Oh and do you mind explaining the video where your beloved terry was seen taking payments for special tours of the bridge! He is a great captain and leader on the pitch, was our best defender but never never has been and never will be a leader/role model off the pitch...sorry to burst your bubble!
  12. You're contradicting yourself :). One single game did eventually decide the final outcome since we had to win due to the difference between manu and us being only one point going into the final game! Never once did i say winning the last game was more important than the first one but it did prove to be more crucial since we didnt take our chances of wrapping the league with games to go :) I'll say it again, had things not gone our way on 9th May, that last day would have decided the title...
  13. wow, he was the captain of the national team ffs at that time. Lets make it easy for you, bridge would have shared the dressing room with terry at the world cup!!! I just dont get all this hype about these overpaid prima donnas who think they can do anything they want (im talking about most football players here, not just chelsea ones). If i was a liverpool supporter, i would have openly condemned gerrard had he done such a thing! I support the club who pay these players...im not obliged to support their every feckin action lilke you do! Let me guess, you thought terry criticizing the club over the j.cole saga was right amongst all the bs he came up against capello in that press conference!
  14. Fair enough. To put my view into perspective lets say the linesman had given the blatant offside for the second goal or that wigan hadnt got that harsh red card which opened the flood gates, we would have lost the league by one single point. Now can you honestly tell me you would have then turned around and said that we were the better side throughout the course of the entire season despite losing the legaue. In other words, one single game could have decided the eventual champion despite all the chances we had of wrapping up the league up with all the injuries to manu before christmas.
  15. And one more thing, we scored 39 goals in 6 games which is 38% of our season's tally. Mind you, this was against teams like portsmouth (were lucky not to have two red cards for elbowing), villa (who admitted to giving up halfway through the game), blackburn at bridge, sunderland, stoke, wigan (last game where again they were down to 10 men after which they simply gave up). Besides, we conceded around 10 more goals compared to our last two seasons! Dont get me wrong, i was over the moon when we won the double but Im not naive to think we weren't helped by luck such as games against liverpool, manu, portsmouth...
  16. it is a good thing someone started a thread on this :) I am one of the few here who is apparently a 'prick' to think that we should have won the league by more...you've made some good points i must admit but there a couple of arguable ones in there as well. If you look at some of the own goals manu got in their favour, its clear they weren't flukes and that manu were dominating the game and had the other team with their backs to the wall (point made by loz above). Giggs and nani made it sure they drove the ball across the box which is something we dont really do often primarily because we have better aerial threat hence the crosses from our fullbacks. As for the injury aspect, counting injuries of bosingwa (im sure people on here would have second thoughts on having bosingwa back in instead of iva-i doubt bosingwa would have performed better), ferreira (i was actually glad he was absent for those 7 games, he got ripped apart in the few games he even took part in), hutchinson/matic/bruma/borini/taylor (really??), belleti (how many games do you think he actually started even when he was fit). As for injuries to players like alex, carvalho, ballack and mikel we were actually lucky to have them such that we we had cover e.g. when alex was injured-carvalho and vice versa, ballack for mikel or deco and so on! Compare this to manu who practicalliy played three weeks without two centrebacks (they actually started against fulham with fletcher as a cb). The only player we really missed was our bison -essien. Take arsenal, missing fabregas and playing an almost entire season without van persie (they started with arhsavin as a forward). I know you'll come back saying thats down to our squad strength but do bear in mind that this cover was provided by players like belleti, deco, ballack, carvalho(?), j.cole who have now left! Take their experience away in games where we missed our other player e.g ballack towards the end when we were without essien and mikel (against manu, liverpool, spurs and the list goes on). I really do feel most of you need to seriously reasses how much contribution our young players will make this season...i mean ive seen starting lineups here with kakuta, matic, bruma! Do u really think we can cope with next year's madrid, barca, city, milan etc! We have lost invaluable experience and if we want to win anything, we will have to do better than benayoun. I recently saw a repeat of liverpool vs madrid (last yr europa semi) and i can hardly remember benayoun getting a touch before his goal, i lost count of the times he ran straight into a player expecting to go past him..i know you cant judge a player on one game but still; just because he performed well against us in the previous seasons doesnt mean he'll do the same to stoke or madrid! Plus he is aging and will lose his pace which is his key asset. As for the point about the media crusade against terry and cole, give me a break! Its not just our players who get this. Do you really think media would have left gerrard alone had he slept with glen johnson's wife being the captain! Regarding ashley cole, the guy cheated on nations sweetheart...i know its not fair and media shouldn't really interfere with their personal affairs but unfortunately thats the downside of being a celeb ;)
  17. exactly! I've said this before and i'll say it again, people on here seem to forget that we won the league by a single point :) If we dont sign a good promising player that will fit into the squad and perhaps replace lampard or drogba in the near future (aguero-drogba, ozil-lampard or schweinstriger-ballack or essien) i really dont see us winning anything next season (forget cl)...
  18. read my post above :) And it doesnt matter if he ran or strolled or crawled on the pitch, the point is he covered the greatest distance and covered for lampard when he went on those runs in the box ;) I dont think you even read what I wrote about ballack shining when he played in his position (which only happened when lampard was suspended or injured which isnt that much hence the few games like newcastle away or manu) As for the red card against city, players do have bad games but to say most of his performances in a chelsea shirt were like the one against city is deluded to say the least! How many times did terry get a stupid red card (spurs 2-1) but you cant say he always performed like he did against spurs :)
  19. i was just giving an example ffs, i've said this before but some of you guys need to feckin wake up! We won the season by one point you morons and lost six games!!! They weren't all 'iffy' results ;) (And before an idiot says that ballack was present for some of those games, i was just giving an example of how ballack was crucial to the balance in the team). You could say the result against manu was also an 'iffy result' but then this is just an example, i could have said ballack won us the game against newcastle when terry and lampard were suspended! Grow up, the wigan game was just an example of us playing bad due to lack of balance in the team. Im not saying we did not lose any game ballack started in but he was absent in the majority of games where we lost ground in the title race (and this is really down to the fact that we didnt have cover for a player like him which is still the case). Mikel and essien in the starting eleven are a disaster waiting to happen, trust me!
  20. m8 the fact that ballack got 130k was primarily based on the fact that we signed him on a free transfer!! A guy of his ability and stature (for purely marketing reasons for adidas and germany) would have cost us atleast £25 mil at that time consiering manu were also interested and the fact that we hadnt actually established ourselves as a 'big' club :) spread that £25 mil over the five, six years and you'll see what a bargain we got! And to say that he was going through his motions and wasnt actually contributing anything has to be one of the most deluded statements ive read...the guy knowingly played out of position and sacrificed his attacking mid place for lampard (look at his games with germany and bayern and u'll see what i mean). Remember the game against manu, the guy singlehandedly led us to the win only because lampard wasn't playing! Lastly, his leadership quality cant be doubted and i'll always remember the game where he had a spat with drogba for a free kick and eventually gave in! Despite all this, the guy played with his heart and did come up with crucial goals...was perhaps our best aerial threat and broke up any counters using his experience! If you still doubt his quality, you'll see what i mean next season when we'll have mikel and essien both playing together (wigan game 3-1 anyone?) ;) I know this is just my opinion but i do think he has been one of our best players under the roman era after terry, lamps and drogba! Unlike j.cole who became a fan favourite only because he was english and was apparently a 'chelsea fan'! I say feck him, look at all the support he got even when he sat out an entire season (on a fat pay package) and when he was sh*t..countless dribbles going nowhere! I remember the game against inter at bridge where carlo subbed ballack for cole hoping that he would give us that spark going forward. All of a sudden, we lost our possesion and ascendency and eventually conceded the second goal..i hardly remember cole getting a touch for those twenty minutes! Look up the highlights and that should say it all! (and yes i know the whole team didnt play well that day but we had the ascendency at half time and at the start of the second half which we lost after the sub...what im trying to say is people like ballack dont get the appreciation they deserve for all the work they put in behind lampard and drogba e.g. i remember fox coverage before a game where they showed that ballack had ran the highest number of km in the last five games or so...
  21. thats exactly what i dont get! i mean we're pretty serious about torres, a guy who spends half the season on the injury table! on the other hand, we have apparently cooled down on the aguero front who is young, hungry and actually has a chance to be the next big thing! we lost silva to city who could have been a replacement for lampard but are instead begging madrid(remember the whole robinho saga albeit it was a blessing in disguise) to give us an aging kaka (who is simply past it) for outrageous money! seriously...
  22. exactly..but heres the problem! you simply cant expect to replace ashley with contreao and expect them to give us what cole did - width and attacking flair! i remember games last season where we were so narrow that a ball to cole was the only way forward e.g. mancity, birmingham away, wigan (3-1)! besides, i doubt we will get a 'decent' replacement for less than £20mil considering current market. and the replacement certainly wont be homegrown so thats another negative!
  23. cant seem to edit my post..should be 'us' not u!
  24. anyhting less than £45 mil would be insane! i mean real paid £35 for benzema so £45 would be pretty good for the easily the best left back in the world!! im afraid my fears were right! i think this is going to be our biggest transfer this season lol. seriously going for aging kaka, one match wonders like khedira (do u even remember hearing about the guy before wc) etc (and with players like benayoun already signed), i cant see u winning anything next season except carling cup! :) besides, keep in mind the fact that we'll lose a homegrown player as well! chelsea will feck this up as usual, mark my words! we will sell ashley for £30-33 and end up buying some unproven player for around £25!! lol
  25. spot on m8, i simply dont get why everyone is so hyped up about kakuta! He is probably one of the best young talents out there but he hasnt proved anything on the big stage! I know he had a good debut against wolves and that carlo said 'best young talent ive seen blah blah' but you cant expect him to definitely deliver in two or three years time!! Ive seen starting 11 lineups on here with kakuta for next season I mean the guy is 19, give him a break...hes already made his name in a way he would have never dreamt of Too much pressure and the guy is bound to choke!
