The club reportedly slapping him with a £250,000 fine wont help matters , he's supposed to have a meeting this week with Ron Gourlay to discuss punishment and his poor behaviour , so treating him like a school kid is total b***ox. Yes hes a knob head and a complete twat but well done to Chelsea FC for doing everything they can to lose the best Left back in football.

J.T. gets a week off , Ashley gets shown the door , or may as well have been.

It's two weeks pay for the lad, and I don't see him moving anywhere. I believe the only reason why he is being fined it's for the fact that he brought in girls in hotel rooms while with the team, JT did it in the off-season or out of the club time hours so to speak. Only more rumors to destabilize us on the long stretch, give it time and we'll probably hear the same thing about JT.

Typical of The Sun, normally a glorified Man Ure fanzine....the only paper you can wipe your arse on and more sh*te comes OFF the paper!!!

Ash won't go anywhere.

If the press keep after him, and Real Madrid or Barca are interested (why wouldnt they be, beats what they have) I could see him wanting to leave.

There they dont seem to be on a mission to ruin the lives of players. The idolitry is high, but it seems to be well within control of the club and player (for example, the lavish, hollywood introductions for new players at the Bernabau)

Yeah, me too. He just separated from his wife, he's hounded at home and booed pretty much everywhere, and this is the last chance to move overseas. They'd have to offer us a good amount of money, and it would still be disappointing. Not sure if Zhirkov is ready to step in to being full-time left back, but if so, perhaps we could get away with Van Aanholt/Bertrand coming through.

We'd be fools to let Ashley Cole leave. No matter how much money we sell him for, there is no better replacement. He is the best player in his position in the world, and he is full of pace and attacking impetus.

Have Arsenal won anything since Ashley Cole left?

If he leaves its because he's f***ed it all up by himself .

your right, anyone who ever has an affair should be hounded out of the country by the media.

It's not as if he hasn't played well through the media slinging mud at him before.

ASHLEY COLE is set to end his English hell with a £30million move to Real Madrid.

Defender Cole, 29, looks certain to team up with his former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho at the Bernabeu.

Real's World Cup-winning keeper Iker Casillas revealed: "From what I am hearing the signs look good.

"I have only briefly spoken to people at the club but I am confident that he can be a Real Madrid player next year.

"I think it will be the right move for him both professionally and personally."

Chelsea left-back Cole has become a figure of hate since splitting with wife Cheryl and being exposed sending a message to pals saying he hated England and the people.

Mourinho signed Cole for Chelsea from Arsenal in 2006.

Spain stopper Casillas, 29, added: "A clean break from England is hopefully something he is very interested in.

"It will be his last big contract and who better to sign for than his old coach Mourinho at Real.

"He will know better than anybody this club will be successful under Jose.

"Jose has proved he buys players and makes them the very best in the world in their position.

"With Ashley he doesn't need to do that because he's already the best left-back in the world.

"Jose knows all about him and it comes as no surprise to me he is very much on Madrid's radar."

Shut up Casillas :Connie_threaten:

I actually can see it happening.

Remember Gourlay's recent remark about us funding most of the new arrivals through sales? I think he was serious.

Ashley will turn 30 at the end of the year and if Real comes with an outrageous offer it would be very difficult for the club to say no. Supposedly he's had enough of the British media circus and last big contract at Madrid with Jose in charge will certainly be a very tempting proposition under the circumstances. If the player at his age wants to leave and the money offer is more than the club will realistically ever get for him, then it becomes just business.

I'm not saying I want Ashley to leave, not at all. He is one of our best players and is important for the team. Just saying it's possible.

Damn, I really don't want to see ashley leave, no matter how much i love zhirkov. It will be very difficult to find a defender as good as him.

I've said this before and I'll say it again, I can see this being the biggest transfer to affect Chelsea this summer.

If he can move, and get away from the press, the bullsh*t, and the "Cheryl's so great she is," then I wouldn't blame him for moving to Real. We all know jose likes him.

At the same time his worst performances as a Chelsea player (albeit relatively) came under Mourinho due to Cole not being given as much of a reign to get forward.

I dont see how he has f***ed up anything, his marriage is on rocks but the media has no business stalking his personal life and whom he is hanging with. Even if they do they are wrong to be portraying him as the bad guy everytime. Ashley is a tough lad and he has been through tougher times in life, if he does leave I would be gutted and worried because Yuri is nowhere as good as Ashley is.

That's a good point, i hope he remembers that. I don't want Ashley to leave at all, we have Zhirkov but Ashley is simply the best left back in the world and why on earth would we sell him, i think it's again the press pushing this stupid move along with twats like Casillas believing it. Ashley isn't that hated in England, it's just the press making these stupid stories. Again in The Sun, they have published school reports today of how the teachers said he was a bad boy and also how much he's spent on holiday in LA. It's just so pathetic but i don't think it will effect him, it's not like he goes out to London clubs or walks outside his home and gets hurled abuse at, in fact it barely even happens at the matches anymore apart from the few obvious ones. To me, he's the best left back England has ever produced and probably the only one who looked capable of winning in SA, it's just so sad why we are trying to push our main English players away from the premiership. f**king Sun.

I do not like where this is heading at all. Losing our best defender and a key attacking outlet would be nothing but bad news, however much money we got for him.

As others have said though, I wouldn't blame him if he was fed up with life in the UK.

God knows who we would replace him with. Yuri- not really a left back, Van Aanholt - good but seriously inexperienced, Paulo - bit past it and not a left back, which would mean we would probably have to spend a bit of the money we got for Ash on an experienced replacement, making any transfer seem even more stupid.

This is a point I made elsewhere, and Cole himself once actually said he hadnt really enjoyed his football under Jose. Add to that the inherent racism in Spain (something he has been on the end of as an England player) and it makes me wonder exactly why he would move, other than for the money.
