David Silva
yeah hes basically evolved into a no.10, could play for us at the top of the diamond...

David Silva
thats why i said sign em both ;) Tbh, we should be able to get silva easily for £25 mil (his buyout clause) and aguero for £30 mil (but i can see madrid demanding £35 or even 40 after their good season last yr, they dont have to sell unlike valencia) which adds upto £55/60 mil which in my opinion is a bargain for two young, promising players! If the torres rumours or even ribery (during jan window) are true, roman will spend £££ this yr cuz carlo won a double and will expect to buy his own players for his diamond! Cant wait for the wc to get over so that we can finally see some new faces at bridge!

David Silva
i see where you're coming from but i think we really do need an attacking midfielfer (silva) and a good promising forward (aguero) but its an inflated transfer market!! Oh well, fingers crossed!

As for malouda, the only way to get him in would be to drop mikel and play essien there which is a shame but thats really the only viable option! It certainly wont be too bad a lineup im sure! I say play essien as a holding mid against weaker to mediocre opposition who tend to sit back so that u can get malouda in to give width!
-
David Silva
exactly, ive always felt drogba isnt really a big threat when we get to tougher opposition in cl- they usually man mark our forwards and wide players like malouda and supply to drogba goes down naturally as a result (inter milan anyone?). And yes, i agree with essien in the holding position, what a waste of the guys thrust and shot when u make him sit infront of the back four! And mikestaw, to say we'll win cl with this aging squad without any players with flair and that something extra, i dont even know what to say!
-
David Silva
imagine him as our no.10 (well before kakuta kicks in  ) behind drogba n aguero! Cech Iva Alex Terry Cole Mikel Essien Lampard Silva Aguero Drogba OR (4-3-3) Cech Iva Alex Terry Cole Mikel Essien Lampard Aguero Drogba Silva Our treble winning squad

David Silva
yeah aguero n silva For mikstaw, remember this goal m8?? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DmvYjJZBzaE Cant remember benayoun scoring something even close to this...

Benayoun?
yeah but 75k (+his transfer value) isnt exactly good value for some experience on aging legs! His key asset is his pace n skills ( ) which hes bound to lose over the next two years imo. Really hope this is just a rumour cuz benayoun in blue
-
Benayoun?
spot on! If we really do need a squad player, why not sign a young promising player instead of offering a 30 yr old a four yr contact!
-
David Silva
m8 you're havin a laugh! An aging 30yr old inconsistent liverpool player (whose second to none at trying fancy useless tricks and then losing the ball to the second player) over a young, extremely talented player who is willing to play for us! Its pretty obvious u dont really follow any other league except epl especially la liga. How can u turn around and say navas is better than silva based on ONE match in your previous comment!!! Silva was playing on the left wing (behing iniesta) against the swiss which isnt exactly his favourite postion . Iniesta had a pretty awful game but u cant say hes worse than navas who has a 15min cameo... btw loved the analogy of the chocolate cake ;)

David Silva
looks like this rumous might actually be true! http://www.dailystar.co.uk/football/view/140630/David-Silva-likes-the-look-of-Chelsea/ Would be an absolute steal for £20-25 mil, hes only 24 btw! Watched la liga last season and he was really impresive in the big games!

Sergio Aguero hints at summer move to Chelsea
lol. what i meant was his ridiculous wage demands would most likely be met by mancity or if he wants cl football and silverware, we might pay the ridiculous £30-35 mil needed and pay him excellent wages (not as much as city but still pretty good) to bring him to bridge. Manu would never in the first place cough up £35 mil for him never mind his wages in the region of £130k!

Sergio Aguero hints at summer move to Chelsea
manu would never get him considering his value and his outrageous wage demands which can be met by either us or mancity!
-
Benayoun?
Can i have some of what you're on? Benayoun and 'really talented'
-
Sergio Ramos
besides, we got bosingwa and hutchinson (hopefully ) at rb so dont really see why waste money at this position when we clearly need a good no.10 to like silva and a young forward like aguero!
-
Sergio Ramos
he is a really good player, probably the best defender at real but for £48 mil (!!!) and on £8 mil/yr. No thnx

Sergio Ramos
http://www.goal.com/en/news/11/transfer-zone/2010/06/16/1979839/chelsea-stun-real-madrid-with-offer-to-triple-star-defender God never thought we could make a worse signing than benayoun but looks like i was wrong. Though it is goal.com so take it with a pinch (no make it a bag) of salt

Benayoun?
how about a bag of onions and two of garlic? infact, make it three of garlic and u got a deal :P
-
Benayoun?
soz my bad  just kidding, sorry!

Benayoun?
totally agree with u m8, joke of a transfer tbh. And btw he is on £50k at looserpool right now and as most reports suggest we want to offer the guy a feckin pay rise on a 4yr contract!!! What most ppl dont get is the fact that his biggest asset is his skill n pace (which is second to none as most ppl here think) and he is bound to lose this since he is on the wrong side of 30! Such a big let down after the whole 'we will lower our squad age and promote exciting talent from our academy' mantra.

Torres Leaving L'Pool
I doubt barca will come for torres, they are struggling to meet fabregas' of £40 mil so I doubt they'll raise £70 for torres!! They might get someone on the left though (since henry is leaving) and i have a funny feeling it might be robinho-ibra swap with mancity...
-
Benayoun?
m8 its a feckin forum where everyone is allowed to have their different opinions. Tbh, i wont say our attack was crap but to think we were barca or real and well win the cl using this same attack + BENAYOUN ithroughout the season makes YOU (yes U) deluded!!! The fact is we scored 29 goals ( 28%) of our goals tally in four games against teams like 10 men wigan, sunderland, villa (i know theyre good but they practically gave up after they conceded the first soft penalty and admitted it, they were growing in the game when zhirkov got that pen). I hope u guys remember the fact that despite our record goal tally we failed to score agaisnt birmingham, inter(when it mattered most, we had no attack whatsoever that day and even at san siro-pathetic display), blackburn (remember that game when we practically gifted manu the title after a 4 point lead but they said no thnx), spurs (plz dont get me started, could have been one of the worst chelsea performances ever had the score reflected our diabolical performance that day), man city (remember the 4-1 loss at bridge, had just the ONE shot on target which was the lamps goal), we lost to villa 2-1 (same team we thrashed the day everything went right for us, two penalties and villa missed glorious chance to equalise through carew before flood gates opened) and wigan 3-1 but wont go in detail. My point is and im sure katon meant that same is that we won the league by a SINGLE POINT and after losing six matches which is also some sort of a record but that doesnt make us world beaters, . Dont get me wrong, teams do lose during the season but six losses and three draws (i think) isnt good enough if u look at our overpaid aging maradonas. Its natural for us (well most of us ) to expect something better next season and joke transfers such as benayoun and stoch arent really going to do it for us! Seriously, its time some of u get off ur high horse and realise how close the title was this season and how came we close to blowing it. (as for the fa cup, i have to admit it really was one of the easiest runins ever avoiding premiership teams until the semis )
-
Stoch to Fenerbahce
that big signing my friend is BENAYOUN lol
-
Benayoun?
m8 the main reason hes moving is the fact that he wasnt a starter back at liverpool under benitez and did publicly criticize him for it! And as far as lampard's goals are conerned, one should bear in mind that 9 of his goals came from penalties and he got five odd goals in two of our seven goal fests (where most of our players were lining up to take shots against 10 men of wigan and aston villa) Lets just hope ur right and we do sign young promising talent or else i really do feel next season wont really live up to this one.
-
Benayoun?
this has to go down as one of our most ludicrous, appalling signings ever AND no im dead serious! !) four yr contract of £85000 p/w (if u take transfer value into account) for a nearly 31yr old player who will at best be a feckin benchwarmer (though he might actually be a starter considering its ancelotti we're talking about here ) 2)And that too from a club which is in a crisis and where players want to move!!!! I mean surely liverpool wouldnt have kept him against his will when he came out saying 'my move to chelsea is practically done' a month ago. 3)What makes it worse is that we let players like j.cole leave on a free transfer (i understand his demands were ridiculous and didnt deserve that 100k) and stoch (before a WC!!!! when we could have easily bagged a few more millions even if the kid wanted out). Those two could have fulfilled our homegrown quota and were younger and had their prime ahead unlike uncle benayoun whose past it already¬! 4) From what ive seen of this scouser scum, he plays on the left and likes to drift inside but we already have malouda and zhirkov on that side (with kakuta to hopefully feature as well next yr) which is something I simply cant get my head round. To top it all off, i dont think we should expect that 'marquee' signing anymore. Benayoun is expected to be squad player (well i hope he is) so that leaves us with kalou to start on the right assuming we use 4-3-3 or even the diamond next season. So this rules out the likes of aguero and pato cuz i really dont expect kalou and beanayoun to be both squad players with someone else taking their place in the starting eleven. Next, we'll get heskey (we have been linked to him in the past) so that rules out signing a new forward like torres. tbh, i can see us struggling for goals next year. Lets face it, lampard's goals will start to drop as he ages. And we cant realistically expect another 30 goals from drogba, guys going to turn 33 soon. And im pretty sure signings like benayoun wont help.
