Fenerbahce claim to have completed the signing of Chelsea midfielder Miroslav Stoch.

The 20-year-old has reportedly signed a four-year contract with the Turkish club after more than four years at Stamford Bridge.

During that time the Slovakia international, who is currently on World Cup duty in South Africa, made just five substitute appearances in all competitions and was loaned out to Dutch side FC Twente last term.

Stoch ended the season with a respectable 12 goals from 45 appearances helping Steve McClaren's side capture their first ever Eredivisie title.

Stoch should feature in Slovakia's World Cup opener against New Zealand on 15th June.

what the feck is wrong with chelsea!! This will come back to haunt us...He was one of our most promising players ffs :(

Terrible, now abramovich is bound to spend a fortune buying a young promising player n the whole cycle repeats itelf! Feck!

??? This better f*cking not be true.

I think it is. Ever since he went on loan and started playing well, I was sure he wasn't going to be at Chelsea next season. I was still hoping that I'm wrong, but I don't see why Fenerbache would announce the signing if it's not true.

With Joe gone this just makes even less sense!? Unless Kakuta is ready to play a LOT more or we're signing someone young and world class to play in this position, I just don't see why we wouldn't give Miro one season to see if he could make good on all his obvious potential.

I know they can't all make it, but I thought that Mancienne and Di Santo were the obvious fall guys from this seasons batch of loanees. Very strange and not good news (if true - he says, grasping at straws).

This is not good news for the simple reason that Stoch could have done nothing more than he did at Twente and it still wasn’t enough to see him get into the first team squad. The message sent is also a simple one - if you have gone out on loan, don’t expect the added experience to put you above those who have stayed, even if you have done well.

Carlo has definitely seen something lacking in the guy to allow him to leave. Being good in Dutch league says nothing about the potential of the player to step up to the English League.

This indeed is baffling, if true, but maybe we're missing something here?

Tim ive got to disagree with mancienne,he was quality for wolves and he said himself he has learnt alot in a relegation battle and with riccy looking like he will also go he would be good cover for alex.

True, but Bruma is already in the first team squad for next season, so with Ivan, JT, Alex and Bruma we now have 4 centre backs, so when is he going to play? In my mind, although he can play RB too, I see the promotion of Bruma as a sign that Mancienne isn't wanted.

Unless he has asked to move as he doesn't want splinters on his arse from sitting on the bench week in week out . He will probably get Champions League football and start week in week out

Stoch has been clear about the fact that he wants to play every week and hinted that he will have to move elsewhere to get that. Apparently he has now done just that.

Sure maybe Carlo sees something about him not being good enough but he is at the darn World Cup in a week - its worth the risk to let him play there, and see if he can increase his transfer value.

Stupid timing.

Bollocks.

Prove them wrong Stoch, hopefully when he becomes the player we expect you too he will comeback to the Bridge.

Very odd decision. Stoch seemed very talented and even if he "only" played in the dutch league, he still proved that he's pretty good. And being only 20 years old I bet he has alot of time to improve.

I really hope Carlo and Chelsea know what they're doing.

Carlo now owes me a damn good young player as replacement for Joey and Stoch!
