We r supposedly offering the guy 75000 a week and r buying him for 6.5 mil+ (works out to be 83000 p/w) when we could have kept stoch for free and on less or even j.cole for more but he was english (for our homegrown quota) and 28! but guys why not wait till the wcup is over, his value could have gone up by 2-3 mil atleast if he had a good tournament. (it wouldnt have mattered if he had an ok one cuz it could have been argued that its his first major tournament). i think this really is a dumb move tbh..i mean a 30 yr old for £6m! (that too from loserpool). I know the transfer market is inflated and quite frankly ridiculous but im sure we can get a 25/26 yr old player or even promote stoch or someone from youth academy! Inter got sneijder for feckin £10 mil last yr when ronaldo was £80 mil so transfer market shouldnt be an execuse. Besides, the guy would be a problem cuz of all the homegrown rule coming into place! I say promote a young player from youth team or get a good promsing player like dzageouv for £10-12 mil. I know im going to get flamed for saying this but this is the one thing that i fear about ancelotti; the guy loves working with aging players who have got a year or two left in them, i mean say what if benayoun cant adjust, hes going to be 31 for gods sake, it'll be a waste of £6 mil...

Anyways, regarding transfers i really hope we get aguero - not for the 40ish figures being thrown about but for 30ish i reckon he would be a steal! Should sign him before worldcup...
