Obviously JT will always be first choice, but we need a passionate motivator in his absence and Frank aint that at the moment.

I agree at least he shows a little passion.

Liverpool
I know, I had to grimace at that...I thought he was pretty quiet apart from a few tackles on swp I thought Gerrard was excellent as captain. Something you certainly couldn't say about Lampard today.

The most disappointing Chelsea XI of all time...
I quite liked Carlton Cole. He was excellent for England U21s and plays with a lot of heart.

Liverpool
With Kalou training separately from the rest due to a slight injury and Sheva declared fit it might well be that he starts, although it's not uncommon to start from the bench when returning from injury. Either way I'm sure Sheva will be giving his best, lets hope it's an improvement. He has at least scored against the Poo so he knows how to do it.

Chelsea TV
Mmmmm, pretty blonde girls. Actually there is some quite good stuff on nowadays. The 'Analyse That' (or is it This?) isn't particularly interesting as it's just them trying to copy Andy Gray on 'Final Word' but there are some quite interesting progs. They do a Press programme once a month (which is repeated a lot) where they have members of the gutter press come on and try and justify what they've written. There is a prog called Chelsea Chat where a Chelsea rep answers questions from Chelsea fans from places like the Fans Forum and certain Fan Clubs. Interviews for PR by Kenyon and Bruce Buck (who I actually quite like) are always interesting but have to be viewed as bullsh*t PR. Interviews with players and Jose and other staff are good too. Live From Stamford Bridge would be excellent if they would do 2 things:- 1. Ban Vernon Carvey and 2 or 3 other regular callers who dominate the programme who just want to say the same thing every week and 2. Stop all the sycophantic grovelling from every caller every time there is an ex player on. It's nice to say thanks I supppose but do the really have to say "before I ask my question I'd like to say thanks to you Kerry for all the great service you've given the club and I still remember the goal you scored against blah blah". It's nice to say thanks but when every caller does it to a bloke who's on Chelsea TV every week anyway it wastes a load of time that could be spent on discussing issues rather than arse licking. My particular favourites are the Acadamy progs and the Live reserves matches which I would never get to see living in the wilds of the north as I do. It's also nice to see old matches although it would be nice if they could go back a bit further than they do as I'm getting a little bored of watching Vialli ploughing through the snow at Tromso (how could anyone be bored of Vialli!?). Plus of course on the rare occassion we don't see an entire Prem match televised on Sky then we can alway watch the full 90 minutes a couple of days later on Chelsea TV which is infinitely preferable to watching the biased selection from the BBC highlights prog. (I am of course deliberately ignoring the football first choice on Saturday evenings). Chelsea TV is overpriced but only just in my opinion and I'm happy to pay for it considering my current circumstances. I like it on the whole.

No, but then I don't think they do if you already have it.

Steve Clark
Thanks Elliot, that was the kind of response I was hoping for.

Steve Clark
Apologies in advance if this has already been covered elsewhere. Well, among the rumours of Jose's departure Steve Clark being removed is being heralded as one of the possible reasons for his unhappiness. True or not it made me beg the question............... Is Steve Clark any use to us? By that I don't mean I agree we should remove him and get someone just for Sheva to play with but what actual use IS Steve to the current team? It's only an impression, but I often find it difficult to feel inspired by him when I see him interviewed. Is it the quiet way that he goes about his job that makes Jose like him around? Does he manage the team training sessions really well? Is he a link between our Portugese manager and our British contingent? Just what is it that makes Steve Clark so indispensable (sp)? Are assistant managers really there just for the manager rather than the team? Genuine question not meant as a dig at Steve as I respect him very much for the service he's given us as a player and an assistant manager/coach.

Chelsea's best ever transfer signing?
It's Hoddle for me, without him it's unlikely we would be where we are at the moment. I believe it was him that tempted Ruud which began the influx of the great and masterful particularly Gianfranco who I believe to be the best Blue signing ever to put pen to paper.

I wouldn't put money on Kalou to score against last night's liverpool defence let alone a League Two team!! Yeah, I should have stuck it all on Bridgey, he looks more likely.
