I was strongly against bringing him back but I have to admit (and am glad to do so :-)) that he was a success. He clearly matured as a defender and Conte has set up a system that builds on his strengths and masks his weaknesses. I wonder if he was a club signing or the mad Italian asked for him.

No idea if there's any around on the net, but consider that JT is 13 years older, there were no digital cameras around and old family photos are much less likely to lose or to get stolen to be scanned and leaked. Doesn't really matter anyway, JT himself admitted to it so it's only logical that sometimes he did sport a Manu shirt.

Someone enlighten me please, I don't see how the French legal system could do anything about the WC decisions, let alone overrule them. The cynic in me says that in the foreseeable future France will do some nice business with companies from Russia and Qatar, and the investigations will be promptly dropped... All things said, I would still very much like to see the 2022 WC moved to basically anywhere else, away from the Great Masters of Qatar and Slaver's Bay. To that effect, I'd like to nominate Daenerys as FIFA president. "Daenerys Stormborn of the House Targaryen, First of Her Name, the Unburnt, Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains, Mother of Dragons, and President of Fédération Internationale de Football Association." I get that, I just don't function that way. My advice for those men would be to self-reflect and think about why taking that risk gives them such a thrill. When they find out the real reason for their excitement it'll be easy to look for a replacement activity that replicates (or even tops it) and does not threaten with financial ruin. If it's all about the money, well, there are better ways.
