  1. i did not know that, but i think that Michael Caine is as well
  2. i once went to langans brasserie and there was a massive painting of Stamford Bridge, that must have been Michael Caine
  3. mine used to be Wembley, i went in 67, lost to spurs, 2-2 against leeds in 70, 2-1 defeat to stoke in 72 and then the 4-0 in the pouring rain against man u and elleray and i did not get a ticket for the final in 97, despite going to every round
  4. they only wore it once and for what reason i have no idea as at the time our away kit was yellow blue yellow, maybe we should ask the Doc
  5. Reggie, did you go to the other two semi-finals at villa park?
  6. what was all that about !
  7. it was all ticket, i was back and forwards working in germany and a mate had to give me a ticket. I was in the shed but do not remember them coming in the bovril end, i do remember them going mad at the other end. I think they were still a bit p;;;;d off by the seven sisters thing a year before
  8. but the north stand would only attack northern fans at that end, the first london club to be attacked in there was arsenal in 79 ( that does not include palace etc). It makes me laugh because the shed was regularly taken, and never until millwall in vh did anything in london, apart from suprs in the late 60s
  9. i must stop drinking pastis, spurs were outside in 78 but never got in thats what i meant to say, they did have a big mob at south ken station and attacked all the trains
  10. peckham you know the score son, and i was there in 78 and that is the only time that they would have tried to take the shed, but the game was all ticket. They were all over the forecourt. Otherwise spurs have never been in there
  11. plus as wel,l west ham will never admit to get run, i know i lived in east london and used to have to walk past upton park every day
  12. not at all , there are games like that where people forget and if you read in the hoolie books that Chelsea were feared in london in the early70s they were not, the shed was a myth
  13. they got run, and even a face at Chelsea said to me "i am proud to be Chelsea"
  14. the best one against them was a night game in 79
  15. i remember hull city in 75 around chritmas time, not many Chelsea went up but still went in their end and took liberties.
  16. i once went to Luton with Millwall mates and was escorted back to the station with a massive mob of luton following behind, i have spoke to other fans of london clubs and that was not as easy as people think especially if you tried to get in their end, and Millwall got in but didnt take it
  17. bristol rovers was by the moterway, Chelsea tried to get in the tote end in the night game in 76 but were pushed back by the old bill, on the train i remember that you had to go through temple meads. Both Plymouth games were lively and i remember that the leaderof the time asked everybodyto hold hands in the park afterwaedbefore attacking the Plymoutth. Also the west brom game in 75
  18. and more so in 74 where they were technically brilliant. Total football !
  19. spurs away 1975 ( not outside Bluebeard !), any west ham game in the 70s, Birmingham 75, Leicester in 74( last game of the season, any Everton or Liverpool game in the early 70s
  20. you are rght Forzby, but only one intertoto and a league cup final. Still not bad for a small club with crowds of about 6,000. Their heyday was the mid to late seventies, Dragan Djajic ( a famous yugoslav) and Johnny Rep played for them
  21. they have also earned the respect from a few other clubs as well
  22. Essien was there from 2001 to 2003 i think, Jean Tigana has to my knowledge never been there. They should be back in ligue 2 next season to look forward to the derby against Ajaccio. Nice is always a big game and there has been a load of ag in these games with Nice's ground shut when they last played. I hope Bastia don't go down again because the last time the fans burnt the clus bar down !!
  23. thats correct, i think the fella got about a ten stretch.
  24. Bastia eufa cup finalists in 78, now sadly not even in the second division. Forza Bastia ! Thanks for lumping it all into one !!:
  25. i did not see any trouble either but i think the scarfers got attacked. Getting a ticket there was a nightmare
