  1. For me it is def atmosphere...You can have a quality game with no atmosphere...sh*t.........You can have a reasonably crap game n have a great atmosphere n come away from the game with some satisfaction..Just my opinion
  2. I will presume that what i read in the paper was not a quote from AVB.. I read , he said, the outcome of tomorrows match isnt significant as the season is in its early stages..Presumably meaning if we lose its not the end of the world as its early season...If true, it would to me, show there is not a great deal of confidence on the outcome being on our side...I would like to think, having read some comments , that us chelsea people can have our say , whether positive or not..Im sure iive been blocked by a few but i cant understand how we cant allow all members of our blue family to have their say whether one agrees or not with whats said, and accept we just have differing views...sometimes one has to critisise the ones we love...Its all part of the game....I think we will lose 3-1 tmoz but will play very well..Good luck to u lot going...Sing loud....
  3. Chelsea is expensive but we are not MAN UTD..Players play for the shirt at MAN U, and are proud to do so...We have to entice the big names with big cash.So if u want to watch big names. you have to pay big bucks to help pay for the players lifestyle..Not all our players are cash grabbers..There are one or two that really love the club..(but) we are more akin to man city...We ll get the player for big money...If you go to every match, yeh ,a big burden is on your disposable income...If you are a fan who , say , goes to every home match in the league, you are generally going to buy a ticket every 2 weeks, so 48 quid is a good deal to watch your team, and you shouldnt complain. The thread about is chelsea in touch or not with their fans also brings to mind how they seem to have no loyalty to their fans IN RELATION to other clubs..CFC are too quick to throw out their own fans without hesitation for trivial things, which ive rarely seen RELETAVELY at other grounds..Id always pay any cash to watch us **** spurs
  4. p.s...looked thru my box of nostalgia n found a photo of ginger jan n myself dancing at the east stand disco ..I was an ugly so nso but laughed at how slim i was n envious at all the hair i once had...When i get back ill ask my son to post it ..Hopefully ginger jan is not married to a 7 ft millwall fan now...
  5. Remember goin to Blackpool in 70s..Then , it was we were all in the same end (blackpool n chelsea),partitioned by a huge metal fence down the middle....(but no) i must admit i cant recall the rangers celtic thing on THAT day.. Went to many a game on those wonderful coaches...Used to meet up with a group of chelsea girls quite often who were regulars..You may remember them on the coaches..one was ginger one was short with short black hair.Oh just recalled the ginger one was JAN...Were u on the coaches when we went (i think) to stoke. We stopped off at a motorway place and er um lets just say bumped into leeds fans..Remember meeting for a coach there for a night match at southampton..Went to the pub earlier n bumped into ossie n hutch having a swift one...Wonderful nostalgic days..Forgive me if i send no replies for a few days,, on hol to weymouth
  6. Not sure if i told this one already....Harkins once had a coach to man unt....He decided we should park on the opposite corner to the ground (as it was then)..50 plus of us...MANY man utd lurking...His words were....ANYBODY RUNS>MAKE YOUR OWN WAY HOME.. Another time in the past , to avoid old bill , and because he was taking us hopefully into the popside at derby, he took us on what was for me ,one of the longest walks, around a town id ever done...successfull though
  7. That supporters club was the real deal..Used to buy my coach tickets from there when not traveling away by car or train..Great little place..Saw the bloke who used to be one of the guys who ran coaches only last year gainst spunks..He was "aged" in the early 1970s, but hadnt seemed to change one bit.in nearly 40 years..(and) it was nice he remembered me
  8. No i dont mean north....I mean in the 70s when the east stand was new....
  9. Did any of you guys n gals ever attend the wonderful chelsea discos in the east stand when it was new..
  10. I have a routine..Every day of the year...I have three huge piles of my sort of music...60s...70s..And the 80s piles..When i have finished with tv , i read for around an hour, then play music till i sleep...Tonight my 3 chosen cds are...Best of skids...Aladin sane...n Hollies greatest.....AAAhhhhh bliss..
  11. Ok...So lets sort that out..All of us who enjoy a pub singsong use the Imperial till it becomes a known n regular place for madhatters to congregate..I will of course have to have the obligitory sherbert in the Fox..Unfortunately i cant be with u more regular guys till the Arse match...see yas all then
  12. Hows about a few of us Blues chip in to buy the place when this current crap fails..ANYONE WIV A FEW BOB SPARE..?????
  13. Also give the FOX a try..just round the corner from the Bridge n the Black Bull..The Foxs back garden has been known to be noisy.. I must try the imperial..What we will probably find is that the SO Bar was in the perfect location for ALL THINGS..You wont find anything with that sort of total package anywhere
  14. In 1967 i lived in hloborn london..I liked spurs..(let me just whip myself again)..My next door neighbour, who i am eternally gratefull to,was a chelsea fan..He took me in 67 to spunk v chelsea..67 into 68 he took me to chelsea v man ciy...I think we won 2 0..I was smitten.Smitten with the whole ambiance of the GOOD OLD SHED END (R I P)..After having our local italian church priest excorcise any remnants of spurs evil from me..I WAS A BORN AGAIN BLUE.....They have given me anguish, pain, fun n euphoria..Experiences i shall probably get mixed up , but will never ever forget....
  15. I voted 4th as i feel that even though we will eke out results the hunger from man u man city n liverpool will be too much for our un gelled, as yet , team
  16. He.ll prob have some sort of injury by the time they play us
  17. The only one i have found with abit of decent noise is the garden of the fox. There may be others but ive not found em yet.The fox, and any others, will probably never give us the same FEEL as the s.o.bar..It was in the correct position..Another bit of fun prized away from us, probably due to the cozzers intervention
  18. That about sums it up sydneychelsea..
  19. Last time i was there was that semi gainst scouse..It took longer to get out of manchester than the rest of the trip home.I would have loved a ticket though..Lets hope the ones lucky enough to be going wont have to count very high
  20. I prefer straight talk. The very fact that we CAN lift the lid off of SB, v united, spurs,n arsenal, shows our fans can be lazy bar stewards v the rest..Yes we are too cosmopolitan nowadays..Too many new fans in the last decade.Sorry to say too many hangers on to the new WINNING chelsea team.Too many of the wealthier types that sit around, observing, as some have said, able to belong to a now so called, affluant club.I feel sorry for the guys n gals that were there week after week thru all weathers and cant go now. These true blues who have been forced to make way for the boring f**kers that call themselves chelsea fans.Ive said it b4 but i really envy, well, i was gonna say spurs atmosphere and their fans efforts at all matches.(but) id have to say every clubs fans passion and efforts. Not everyone wants to sing, but this club is doingwell on the footy side. We have a lovely ground but without the first class noise this ground should produce.
  21. May see some of you guys n gals at the fox?
  22. Cant wait to intake the essence of the Fulham rd....My son ended up going to V festival..Meeting daughter Chelsea at liverpool st at 1...Fulham bw..Sell spare ticket..Eat drink watch us win 3-1, n home..Hope to see gaz, martin ,ian n ballard within this ..Great day ahead...HURRY UP 11 30
