This is prob strange to say , and yes its great to win things now, but i feel that back then Chelsea was a club. A club that the fans could be close to .. where the fans all knew each other. meet easily to travel away from home. great comradiery of all that was chelsea , for me has gone , yes u see faces , but u sit next to people u may or may not have a rapport with. One doesnt have control anymore of how ones day pans out...You travel to the match....you drink with old faces ..then normally u r split to various parts of the ground...see each other after the match say goodbye n off home..Till next time....I went to man city on a coach and honestly no one spoke to each other there or back..very sad..Chelsea has become a big place to be , but for me ...far too cosmopoliton...perhaps im just becoming an old grumpy bar steward

Just a shorty....lots of you were there.....Norwich in the fog......I was an apprentice engineer....on that day bunked off from tottenham tech to head for norwich .....But ,in the early afternoon had been to a do....this short do meant i was dressed as my hero of the time ZIGGY STARDUST...my hair was spiked and i had some serious eye makeup.....then to car..then to norwich....stupidly not even worrying about my makeup and furry collar etc......50 50 we were in the Barclay end.........i have been sorted physicaly at matches b4...but the abuse i got from the anglians as well as some of our own was a bigger kick in as id ever had and the embarassment stayed with me for quite a while

Like many of the above...i have been in many a home end....just to pick one , man citys kippax....we pulled a couple of manx girls ( 1970s )...and coz we really liked em went with them into the kippax....unfortunately they didnt mention that their ex boyfriends would be in their.....we were threatened....we got scared.....so we decided to go out the best way we could...we ran on the pitch..jumped around like loonies.n got thrown out...we lived tho

funiest thing i saw were 3 really tough spuds, walking back station direction after the match, abusing a very , lets say ,rotund chelsea fan, about his old shirt stretched across his body. my son daughter n myself walked by the side of the blue as he was a gentle giant i think....i was a bit nervous as they were proper spud firm....but, to my surprise my daughter chelsea piped up let me introduce u to a couple of guys i know when we pass the so bar...my knees knocked but luckily they sidled off b4 they got near the so bar....the bluff went off well.normally i would have scolded my girl, but then i thought WE HATE SPUDS

wot a perfect day. easy drive from westcliff to chelsea. easy place for very cheap parking. good pint with my girl n boy sam n chelsea. godd piss up n sing song in so bar. chelsea , my daughter, made a couple of male friends.good atmosphere in northstand,good result n home by 9 45......wot more could one want from a day out
