  1. Damn, how long will he be out with the jaundice so :(
  2. Taken with Laim Neeson was a pretty good action thriller.
  3. The only one I've heard of is The Guard, which stars Brendan Gleeson. It's directed by the guy who directed "In Bruges"'s brother and it's supposedly hilarious. I haven't seen it yet but it has been compared favourably to In Bruges which I thought was quite hilarious. I believe it's in a similar mould of dark comedy. To be honest I wouldn't think much of Irish cinema, we seem to release one good film every three years about so I'd definitely go to see The Guard out of those, my aunts and some of my friends have been raving about it. Although I would note that my preference is for the mainstream anyway.
  4. Actually a good point, although if he starts playing well I say shut it then
  5. Ah yeah but like Michael's being giving out mad about that ever since, he's been in all of our ears about it, so you'll understand the hostility!
  6. Lock it, don't really think there's much any of us can add to the discussion at this point. We should focus on the players we do have until the window opens up again in my opinion.
  7. I'll be perfectly honest, the move is pretty baffling to me, I can't understand why we did it unless Benny really wanted out in which case we were as well getting him out of the dressing room before there was an atmosphere created by it or something. I'm just speculating obviously, the fact we sold him to cross town rivals is really quite bizarre but at the end of the day there's stuff going on in any club that only the higher-ups know, and the only reason I could see us bailing them out is if we had first option on someone AVB or the scouts rate. I'm willing not to pass judgment for a while on it anyway, on the face of it obviously a bad move but we'll see if it turns out to be a surprising and canny move down the track. At the very least there will be a bit of good will from the highers up at Arsenal when we come knocking as we gave them a hand when they were in crisis, or at least one would hope so. But I'm probably being a bit deluded and naive, but that's par for the course with me anyway.
  8. Haha GB, it was certainly the potential signing which pissed you off the most! In fairness to you before his name was touted you seemed a bit more optimistic than usual!
  9. Since when has what Scouser thought about anything made any sense lads! We'll judge him for ourselves in due course, let the lad get a run out before judging him either way I say!
  10. I'm O'Mahisco, that sounds more like a disease than a footballer.
  11. Sure Ramires is bound to get a poncy Brazilian nickname soon enough . Raminho or Ramirenho or something along those lines
  12. They're going mental on RAWK, I suppose he did leave it late with 20 minutes left in the transfer window but to not wish an ex-player well is pretty scummy even for their fans.
  13. Why do we have so many troubles with work permits? I mean that Japanese lad at Arsenal and Hernandez at United got them without a bother like?
  14. Hope Torres convinces him of the merits of long sleeved jerseys to be fair.
  15. We would have been in fierce trouble injury wise with Benayoun going out and nobody coming in, he knows the league and he's probably one of the better players available as a stop-gap.
  16. Welcome to Chelsea, here's to a successful four years!
  17. Well we were light in midfield going into today and with Yossi going we had to sign someone, and Meireles looked a cut above the dross at Liverpool yesterday.
  18. Damn and we were looking for a guy better than Mikel who can only play 3 games a season,,. ugh nobody can replace him now!!! He'd be able to visit the Pensioners the whole time, pity this fell through.
  19. Cheers, so if we're going to make any late moves I suppose those would be the two most likely foreign leagues at this stage of the game. TBH I think Mata was our Modric plan B and now we're just looking for someone to replace Yossi's role in the team if he is indeed leaving, so I wouldn't rule out a move for Meireles or someone either.
  20. Is it only Portugal that have these buyout clauses ? Can see us bringing in someone from over there. Why? Well I'm as lazy as the laziest journo, if Yossi's going we need to get a midfielder from somewhere to solidify the ranks and because well the Portuguezers seem to thrive at the Bridge.
  21. Salmon has a special Plaice in my heart... Awful, but can you do better?
  22. You'd really have to question the logic of having two Chelsea tv shows about transfers on deadline day if we aren't signing anyone. The awkwardness in that studio was unreal.
  23. To be fair, he knows absolutely nothing so he might as well try it on!
