They're sh*t mate. We were particularly sloppy to let them draw. If we get Real we're going out. We literally don't have a prayer.

Those were our back-to-backs. Then we bought Ballack and Shevchenko and Jose adopted the diamond, which has never worked for us.

Tim, I'm a Capricorn, I don't smoke, and I have a good sense of humour, if that helps.

The "everything you want to say about Torres" thread
You're missing a fundamental point. AVB didn't buy Torres. And he's the manager. He should be under no pressure to play Torres simply because he's the owner's trophy signing. Hopefully Roman has learned his lesson and he won't impose players on the manager again. It's absurd beyond the extreme that the owner bought his poster boy for £50m shortly before hiring another manager. Personally, I think we might cut our losses and take whatever we can for him this summer. Look at Sturridge .. Banging in goals, despite playing on the right. Full of pace full of invention. He just looks bright. He's a threat, whenever he gets the ball. I can't see Torres ever doing that. There is no comparison between them at the moment and Sturridge deserves to play up top, ahead of Drogba and ahead of Torres. If we had a winger I'm sure Sturridge would be playing up top. However a top-notch striker wouldn't go amiss so that Sturridge can learn from him, understudy him and still play regularly in the front three. We can only buy a top-notch striker however if we sell Torres, because he would be a direct replacement. We may have to bite the bullet on this one and let AVB mould the team as he wants. If he doesn't rate Torres we should sell. We should back the manager and let him do it his way .. Personally I would rather see Torres than Drogba but it's not my call. I don't think either of them are good enough, if I'm honest.

WTF? Terrible news. Shocking and sad. RIP.

Better late than never ?
I decided it wasn't fair on you. Why should you suffer because of the manager's decisions?

Better late than never ?
AVB realised pretty quickly what had to happen to Kalou. He then worked out Anelka. Looks like he's now worked out Mikel. Boswinga looks like he's been worked out too. Same for Malouda, although our best front three at the moment may involve Sturrudge playing up top, as AVB seems to have worked out Torres and Drogba too but his hands are tied somewhat, due to a lack of options. Lampard needs to be rotated and the coach is not afraid to do it. AVB may be evaluating the squad in a way he couldn't in the summer, and it looks like he's coming to the right conclusions. Oriol and Mata have been great signings, and if the manager wants to buy Pereira, I dare say that will be a great signing too. The worst kind of managers are those that keep picking under-performing players. They're the managers that make you want to tear your hair out. AVB isn't one of those. He's learned about his players and I think their futures are decided, as we will see in forthcoming transfer windows. I'm encouraged by the decisions he's making, even if they sometimes take him longer than required ..

MOTM vs Wolves
He wouldn't be Mikel. Simple. Mikel cannot play like that. He isn't fit to lace Oriol's boots. It was obvious from his first appearance and I'm amazed it took AVB so long to do what he had to do. He's done it now and we ain't going back, for if we are, all sympathy for AVB goes out the window. I cannot believe anybody can still defend Mikel.

MOTM vs Wolves
I've given it to Romeu. For the simple reason I detest Mikel as a player and want him out. I think Ashley Cole had a very good game. Ramires was back to his old self. Sturridge and Mata were great. Luiz never crossed the halfway line which was good. Learn to defend then party, not the other way round. Drogba was atrocious and is finished by the look of things ..

Very good point. Terry was waaaaaaaaaaaay too obvious. He's not the brightest lad. The media will revel in this. He never takes throw-ins. If he gets banned for City all sympathy flies out the window.

Steve Bruce will be sacked. You heard it here first. Meanwhile, Utd players surround the ref at full-time. Will they be punished ..?

Romeu man of the match. If only because he kept Mikel out. Long may it continue.
