Agreed! Professional athletes here in the States are always signing incentive laden contracts with club options to add a year or so on if they deem fit. How do we know Lampard is asking for the same wages. I would like to think that Frank knows he isn't going to get that payday. They should be offering around 60-80K per week. For me that is fair for all parties and we supporters get to see our legend walk off into the sunset... Of course we have really no idea what Lampard is willing to accept but I would like to believe he is willing to play out another year or two at Chelsea than play in the MLS or China on a larger payday.

I don't believe any of this... Lampard being let go in January, Mikel and Moses off to ACN and now Marin perhaps being shipped on a season remainder loan. Throw in the fact that Sturridge is leaving and now we are left with a decimated squad... Unbelievable, I don't know what's worse having to be a witness to the past 2 months or watching AVB crash the club into a mountainside like last year... Thankly we are playing well at the moment but if these stories are true, we are an injury away from disaster...

Interesting posts by some of them... Not sure where the guy who said Cech is crap but we heard the same thing on the Juventis thread a few months back. Seems to be a small consensus of people who don't rate Cech. I am not sure exactly why, maybe they didn't watch us in Munich last May? Or maybe they only watch him when he plays for the Czech NT where he does struggle a bit. Having always liked Everton it was nice to see decent folks responding with mutual respect and civility, unlike them Red scum across town. A few years back Everton came here to Denver, CO to play the MLS club. A few friends and I were sitting with some Toffee supporters that were English ex pats and had a great time over a few too many drinks... Most of us supported various clubs (apart from the Everton bunch) and there was mutual respect there too. Their supporters seem to be as classy as their manager who IMO is a fantastic one. I always cheer on Everton when they are not playing us. Always good football to watch and considering they don't spend, do quite well. Weird their thread needs a referral though... Couldn't create an account without a referral. What does it say to our younger players now and potential others in the future when the club looks to discard a CLUB LEGEND like its a three day old curry. There is simply no loyalty and respect for a man who has given his all to the club and us during the most prolific spell Chelsea has seen. I was against showing animosity towards the club publicly with signing Rafa but not this... I would basically boycott and not buy a single thing from Chelsea as long as this owner is in place. Of course that means sh*t to a billionaire but its the thought and action that matters, not the money. I would seriously hope that people would do the same...
