On the eve of our last day of glory... The last clips of Drogba saluting the crowd and then holding his hands in front of his face in disbelief is an image that shutters me and will be always burned in my mind!!! Not sure how to quite do it but I plan on blowing that image up to a 16x20in photo and framing that on my wall... May we have more of these types of celebrations in the future!!! Come on Chelsea! I don't know what is sweeter... The fact that Mata has once again solidified his ability to be one of the top five on the planet, Cech proving to the world he still has it, our front three of Mata, Oscar, and Hazard can singlehandely dominate anyone on the pitch when they are on their game, that United were once again outclassed by Chelsea (and lets face it we have across three matches now), and perhaps the best part is that all the Mancs will cheer us on to beat City! We haven't had much to smile about this season due to the turmoil in the squad/management/club but playing at Wembley again within earshot of the Cup is beautiful! Lets wrap up third, win the FA Cup and the UEFA, move Rafal on to whomever wants to hire him and bring in Jose! We will be the fortress of old plus the flair of Mata, Oscar, and Hazard with Ba and Lukaku up top!

It was superb as was Cech's save... If I could make a comparison, the Mata touch and shot plus the save from de Gea in the final minutes at OT in first leg was quite good as well... Point I am making is Mata was involved in both! I know this is the FA Cup but Mata truly is our heart and soul! The board need to step up and sign him for a Lampard weekly sum for the next decade! No, nothing to do with age but lets face it a lot of you (not all) are acting like petulant school children... As if Mikel's play is the sole reason why the club has underperformed is a bit ridiculous... Regardless, I will go f*ck myself but I wont be blaming Mikel for throwing away the season. I just think everyone is looking for a scapegoat this year and Mikel (from this thread) seems to be that person. Why not blame the board? I am not a huge Mikel fan however, I take the fact that Jose, Guus, Carlo, AVB, RDM, and now Rafa all have played him excessivelyand value their opinions than most on this thread. I do believe they've won a number of trophies and it wouldn't be dim to not value their opinions. The point about age is that we should not blame Mikel for everything. He does have his moments and some of those moments can be horrible. Perhaps I was wrong to call out age but it appears to me that a lot of people on this site have stayed away and there has been an influx of hatred by younger members bashing everything. Sure the season hasn't lived up to potential but lets be honest, we are thin and have an insane amount of matches. Lets blame the board and not just one player for the inconsistent play. And lets do it a bit more calmly. We are all on here for a reason. Perhaps I am wrong for calling out age but one cannot discount that most of the negativity is from the younger fans... Rafa would just use this an addition to his lenghty laundry list of excuses. It would go something like this: I have won every major trophy and proven my tactical prowness in running a top squad but unfortunately a bloke named Davey Baby instilled some bizarre thought into the board that they should sack me the night before the final. Lampard and Mourinho! Bring in KDB and Lukaku... Maybe Essien for more depth... Sell Torres for whatever and to whomever. Chelsea do not need to go out and sign a 30M+ striker. Question is, if Jose does return will this squad satisfy him or will he want to add his own element. History says that he will want to bring in some of his own signings...

People said similar things about Ramires in his first year too. Once Oscar truly gets comfortable with the pace of the Prem, I believe he will be one of the best we ever had in midfield. Even more reason why Frank should be offered a contract, his experience and worth ethic is vital to these young players.

The odd thing I find is that people continue to say where Spurs would be without Bale? No question he is a vital cog at WHL,and sure it took a monumental collapse by Chelsea this year to even put them near third. More importantly where would Chelsea be today without the Special Juan! Please hire Jose and have him bring in Luka Modric! I have been saying for the past two years we need this guy running the midfield like he did at Spurs! A general who dictates everything and imo the best this side of Pirlo! He is our missing piece! We don't need a Striker, we have always had one with Lukaku and Feruz coming up! I love Oscar more than the next guy and have tremendous hopes for him... I think at 21 he will certainly come good too! For me, he is the best Brazilian in the world, at least in proven potential! I am sure others may disagree but whatever... I would love to see a Oscar-Mata- Hazard front three with a Modric and Luiz backfield... Wouldn't matter who was the striker but Lukaku and even Feruz would be hitting the back of the net at will! Don't like Luiz there, then bring in Felleni to partner with Modric! Sorry, I disagree... Without Mikel, we did not look good at all. No idea why Mikel gets so much criticism because for me we are clearly better when he is there. Mikel is not perfect but lets stop and take a look at who has played him over others during Mikel's tenure. Jose, Scolari, Guus, Carlo, and RDM all have played him extensively. Roman, are you listening? Sign him up and let him not only be the player we all know he is, regardless of age but more importantly, Lampard has so much more to offer!
