I don't know if Luiz should play there. When he's higher up the pitch he can take his shots and his nice passes with some freedom.

So if we had about 2 very good, solid holding mids and then bring in a deep lying playmaker to play beside them for the most part. Even Rami, Lampard or Luiz could play alongside the holding mids in place of a playmaker.

I was just stating the type of players not the players we should sign.

That still leaves us short in midfield of an out and out DM with just Capoue as a DM and Mikel ,the other option, gone.

I agree with this but another striker is only needed if Torres leaves as I think Lukaku is perfectly capable of being 1st choice. Also maybe a left back like Shaw as you mentioned.

We need one player to be strong, good defensively, with decent passing and who can tackle well i. e. Khedira, Bender, Martinez . Beside him we need a deep lying playmaker with very good passing and decent shooting i.e. Modric, Moutinho, Schweinsteiger. Even if we stick Rami, Luiz or Lampard beside the destroyer that can still work.

Hazard has a great shot as well and is scoring more frequently like he did with Lille.

Ok Ashley Cole is a given and for me so is Azpi but who is our best central defensive partnership? Does it need any strengthening from purchases or players currently out on loan?

Who do you guys think we need to bring in next season from purchases and players to keep that are currently on loan? Also who needs to be loaned and shipped out?

I think De Bruyne being used in the squad could rely heavily on Lampard leaving ,which I don't want. Our attacking trio is already hotly contested but we'll see how it goes and he is still a great talent.

Mata was good last season but now in his second season he is sensational. I think something similar could happen with Hazard and Oscar and next season we will rip up the prem when they are fully settled.

I think Ba can definitely be first choice next season and has the quality and Lukaku is good enough to be second choice. I wouldn't be surprised though if we bring in a top quality, world class striker and is it worth it for Lukaku to hang around as third choice? I mean look at united welbeck, hernandez are not always playing but are great to play in cups or as subs and can easily fill in when they're needed, could Lukaku do that?
