Who do you guys think we need to bring in next season from purchases and players to keep that are currently on loan? Also who needs to be loaned and shipped out?

part exchange torres for falcao and bring romulu back. who would people rather have felliani or ya ya toure if available?

Don't know who i would pick. For me i feel Fellaini is over rated, i admit i got caught up in the hype earlier in the season but now i see that he isn't as good as some make out. Ya Ya Toure at his best is great but with his wages and ego he just isn't worth it, for me the choice is too hard to make.

Back on topic now, i would love to see Falcao come here, i have been a massive fan since he was at Porto when they won the Europa League, for some weird reason people were talking more about Hulk when it was clear to see that Falcao was the more dangerous player. I feel if we shown any interest at the time he would already be here.

We need a new backup goalkeeper so anyone capable should do fine.

We also need a DM, the problem is i don't see any truly outstanding ones available, so for me i would bring back Chalobah and give him the position, it's about time we started making the most of our academy players.

Bring Lukaku and Kevin De Bruyne back and we should be set. Oh and a Mourinho return would be nice as well.

I think Fellaini would be a red card vending machine in a Chelsea shirt. Also, I'm not convinced Falcao would be a good fit for us. He has the confidence Torres doesn't have right now, but the service to him would be just as miserly as it is to Torres now. We need a striker who can make things happen rather than react to opportunities that may happen.

It depends on where we finish and who gets the manager's job in May and how much control, if any, they get in reshaping the team. That said, I think whoever does get it will want to make an opening statement by solving the Torres situation giving Lukaku a season up front.

It all depends on the direction of the club and who our next manager is.  If we look at a two year, stop-gap fix then I think we'l sign bigger name players and therefore either sell on some of the fringe youngsters, or at least send them back on loan.  This, for me, has allways been the problem with churning through managers as often as we do.  You take the Chelsea job, you are expected to bring in immediate success and will therefore rely on Roman's wallet to buy players that fit rather than bring through a youth team member who has promise.

I'd like to see both Lukaku and KDB brought back, and given a fair trial at Chelsea.  I'd also like to see Chalobah making more appearances, but I think he may be loaned again to a mid table team in the prem.

Other than that, I think we all agree we need a striker, and maybe a better Defensive Mid or another CB.  But not all of those at once.

Not a popular pick but if I could choose one striker to have at the bridge next year it would be Suarez.

Sell Fernando for whatever we can get, recall Lukaku, KDB and Essien.

Not sure that we need a new CM really.

KDB, Essien, Ramires, Mikel, Romeu, Luiz. 6 players for 2 positions.

Try and get Chalobah a loan to another EPL side.

the only name i want to see us sign in the summer is falcao. im more concerned with getting the right departures (torres, malouda, benayoun etc) than signing big name players like fellaini and toure. id rather see us bring the likes of KDB, Mceachran, Lukaku etc into our first team than spending huge sums of money on the likes of fellaini and toure, denying our youth players the chance to prove their worth. but obviously, above it all, the number one signing for the club is who our new gaffer is, and we've gotta pray its Jose!

through my estimations (probably very inaccurate) Fellaini would cost us around 18-22 million and i would guess somewhere between 65-90K a week in wages.

Yaya Toure would cost us around 9-15 million but at least 100K in wages.

Fellaini is 25, Toure is 29 but personally i would take Toure - he's done it on every level and I've never really seen him have a bad game

Lukaku has the power to be the new Drogba definitely! he's been shining at the Baggies this season and he's still a kid, bring him back and hoping we have Falcao and Nando in the other direction.. then rotate Lukaku and Falcao as we're doing with Torres and Ba now. The only problem is, what happens with Demba Ba? I rate him enough for him to come on and make a difference but Lukaku has had a years first team experience and with being played in by Mata and Hazard, anything is possible!

With the defender situation we all know JT's losing a bit of pace and spending more time on the bench, Cahill's inconsistent and Luiz is a hot head (perhaps if Mourinho returns he could tame the geezer). With that I wouldn't mind seeing a new CB ie Subotic, Chiellini or Hummels; but again I think they'd be a ridiculous sum to lure them away from their clubs and I reckon Juventus will win the CL this season, so that rules Chiellini out for sure.

Plus we've never replaced Claude Makelele, but how can ya replace a player of his calibre?

I hate reading things like this... we have Lampard, Oscar, Hazard and Mata playing behind the striker and still we get talk of the service to the strikers? We saw in the last game vs West Ham that when Ba was at least making the right runs he had plenty of service, and plenty of great opportunities (that he squandered, but still...)

Yes, this ^^ Chalobah imo isn't ready just yet, he tires in matches and still learning his trade - continued loan spell would serve him well

at least 100k

At least 100k? Try at least 200k mate. Plus you may not have seen him have bad games per se, but plenty of times he just looks like he can't be arsed to track back and lets his side down - something Mikel gets hammered for repeatedly on here.

What I'd do:

Bring back Lukaku, KDB, Chalobah, Courtois, Piazon, maybe PVA. Maybe McEachran, but only if managed properly whilst here (probably best to loan him out again though).

Get rid of Torres, Benayoun and Malouda.

We have 4 capable CBs, that's fine - Cahill has been in poor form but I believe the quality is still there. Terry will play regularly again once our manager is no longer a fat c**t who "rests" him for the Europa League game we play every week. PVA has supposedly impressed, and if he's the one that is supposed to step into Cole's shoes long term then he needs to be brought back and bedded in.

CM - we don't need a stop gap to block the development of Chalobah, imo. He's PL quality already and is improving ridiculously fast, he's ready to be played in the first team. Between Chalobah/KDB/Ramires/Mikel/Romeu we have options for the 2-man midfield. Spending money on another player will just hinder Chalobah/Romeu.

AM - sorted, really. Piazon for more depth. Apparently doing well at Malaga, should be used for rotation/depth in our squad imo as he looks ready for it.

CF - Lukaku and Ba is fine for me. Bringing in another striker realistically puts Lukaku to third choice (not as "proven" as Ba, and less chance for him to prove himself). I think after what he's done at WBA he should be given the chance to lead our line.

I know City and Utd each have (had) 4 strikers, but they both play with two strikers and Utd have had to shunt Welbeck out wide on occasion to give him games - none Lukaku/Ba/Falcao are effective playing wide.

Didn't pick that up when I read it the first time, but I thought we were all well past blaming Torres's form on a lack of options, I mean really?

If anything it's remarkable he has scored so few goals with Mazacar behind him.

Bring back KDB and Lukaku. Buy a world class striker, Lewandowski would fit the bill and be cheaper than Cavani or Falcao. As much as I dislike Hernandez he's exactly the sort of player we're missing. I wouldn't mind a young CB or maybe Luke Shaw but other than that we're fine in defense. If we bring back Piazon too then we're sorted in attacking midfield as well.

I would have to disagree with those who say that we don't need any midfield purchases. CM is where I believe we have a real gaping hole. We lack a pivot player who can really control games; someone like Gundogan would be ideal. He can inject a bit of pace into the game, maintain possession and dictate the play - none of our midfielders can do all three, at least not any more. I wouldn't mind Verratti either, great young regista, or Moutinho. Even a more defensive player like Fernando or Capoue (who's been mentioned on here several times before) would be welcome, never mind quantity I just don't believe our midfield is strong enough for a team of our ambitions. Bringing one player in won't magically solve it but it would go a long way IMO.

Just my personal thoughts, have no idea what will really happen in the summer.

Mata, Hazard and Oscar - forming 'Mazacar'.

Good lord, never heard that before. Thats awful. Like something from the playground.

A phrase ill certainly never be using! Great players though!

Bring KDB, Lukaku, Chalobah & Courtois back. Make the Squad much better, Mata cannot keep playing so many games.

We aren't far from having the complete squad, Just need a stable manager and a few quality signings

I agree that we need a regista, but think that we should be looking in our squad for one rather than purchasing a new one.

Oscar has the skillset to play as one. When he gets to play as a number 10, he drops ridiculously deep to get the ball anyway, RDM intended to move him gradually into the pivot, but didn't get the time. Piazon can be his long-term replacement in the attacking midfield.

From what I hear, KDB has also been playing a deep role at Bremen and also has the skill-set to play as a regista.

Those two are ready already, and our most natural regista - McEachran - will be ready in a season or so.

Agree with most that we need a DM and a striker. From the other thread, i think Capoue would compliment Ramires and Luiz well. It lets Ramires go on his runs that he does so well and it allows Luiz to play further up where he does pretty well knowing he'll have some good cover. Capoue also looked like he could find a pass (unlike Mikel) although it was only from one youtube video so if others have seen him play regularly, i'll take their opinion. For striker i'm not entirely bothered as long as we get rid of Torres. Could Moses play up top? I do like him on the wing though
