Agreed. He's certainly been one of our top 3 players this season imo. Also I think 'his form dropped' line is a bit of a myth. I'd say he's exceptionally consistent and I can't recall any bad games he's had for us. I'm a big fan. He has all the tools to step up a level and become an elite player on the Iniesta/Ozil level.

Ive seen people say Oscar is more talented than Hazard and im just not seeing it. Oscar is a gem no doubt but Hazard is just something else. Hazard is very inconsistent, but on his day hes unplayable.

We have tried different managers, different systems, different formations, different players but the one constant is that Torres hasn't delivered.
 
Did Mourinho get Shevchenko firing on all cylinders? No. He is a very, very good Manager but there is a limit to what he can do.

If you put Lukaku in our squad and played him as much as Torres did last season he would have contributed FAR more than Torres did. Give him more time? We signed him in January 2011 and in that time hasn't been world class once. 
 
You can ignore his wages and the price we paid for him. The bottom line is that he isn't even close to good enough for us. I don't care if he used to be the best player who ever lived. He isn't good enough and none of his performances have indicated that he ever will be. I honestly don't know how much evidence you need before you can see it.

Torres never is and never was a £50 million striker, but the winner today and against Benfica - two excellent finishes incidentally - last Wednesday have gone a long way towards some fond of redemption. If today was to be his last game for the club, then at least it can be said that Torres left on a high.
