Is Essien really best utilised in a DMC role anyway? I know he's got tactical nous but he doesn't have the passing range to be immobile in that role...

He may be able to play on the right of a 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 but he certainly hasn't shown enough to be regularly involved.

Sturridge is massively over-rated, absolutely no evidence he can play in anything other than a 4-4-2, he did well at Owen Coyle's deceptively direct Bolton because he had the surprise element. The amount of times he cuts inside onto his left foot and tries a curling shot is unbelievable. He'll be found out soon unless he can become more tactically adept. I'd take Kalou anyday

Hi Guys, Just wanted to introduce myself, CFC fan based in SW6 my whole life... My first game was the awful 4-0 loss to Man United in the 1994 FA Cup Final, featuring two very debatable Eric Cantona penalties.
