Lampard skill

Drogba luck

I agree, Drogba looks to be angling his body to dig it out to and hit whoever it is running in. Lampard has to be going for goal as theres no-one for him to hit if hes aiming for the back post.

I wonder how many times out of 10 either one of them could do that...

I think first look, I'd say both were luck. I do agree that Lamps was going for goal and Drogs' was more of a cross.

And yes, they went in which is the most important thing.

God I LOVE that Drogba goal against wolves.

I was in Bristol for the weekend when it happened, in the bar with a few mates early on and it got me so pumped up for the rest of the weekend.

Which one?

As for the Drogba goal in the OP, There'll be some that suggest the skill there lay not in getting it in the goal, but keeping it far enough from Kalou that he couldn't f**k it up

pretty sure he means against hull. That lampard one vs barcelone is one of my favourite goals of all time, up there with his one against bayern munich. Im very certain he was trying to do it but then again who knows. That drogba one definitely luck and as others have said he admitted as much, said he was looking for kalou at the far post.

If ever there was a fluke :laugh2:

And I still feel Lampard's against Hull was too. That fraction of a second where he looks towards Anelka and also that it was on his left.

Lampard against Barca and then the one against Bayern in the CL, both set up by crosses from Makelele
