I'd be excited going into next season with Alonso as manager, provided we make some good moves in the transfer window. There's a long long loooong road ahead for the owners if they want to get the fans back on side, but the appointment of the best coach available is a start.

Im hoping the owners take pity on Slot a bit. Isak has missed most of the season, Ekitike has ruptured his Achilles, Trent was a vital part of their team and his replacement is in and out with injury.

If we do get Alonso it's the first ambitious managerial appointment the new owners have made and it would suggest they've let Alonso have more control.
