As far as I’m concerned, for as long as we recruit another head coach instead of a manager, we are doomed to the same cycle. Strap in the future is bleak.

Not sure he’ll survive this one. That said it’s new ownership so you never know, but this feels very game over to me.

I couldn’t hate Sanchez more. Every time I think my disdain for him has reach its peak he proves me wrong and manages to make me hate him even more.

It’s mad that we’ve only beaten them once in the last 3 years. Oh well on to the next. Up the Chels!

Really worried about Cole. After the match he wasn’t celebrating with the team, he was a bit of a lone figure. Then in all the videos and pictures of celebrations post-match he’s either at the back or out of the way. I really hope he’s not already on his way out.

They prevented themselves from knocking us out there because we seemed to do everything in our power to make sure they had possession. Zero full backs, invisible midfield. Even when it landed at Jackson’s feet in front of goal he seemed more shocked than a striker looking to score.

Are we playing with 4 centre backs because there is no one in either full back position?

I fully understand the frustration and where it comes from. In my original message I make clear I’m not happy with the potential appointment. My point is about how people are going on about it. Of course fans should voice their discontent. But as I’ve said some of these posts are ridiculous. I’m sure a lot of it is a defense mechanism so that fans can say “I told you this would be a disaster” when/if ends up that way but it all just becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. We have to believe, we have to have faith. We have to get behind our club. Without it we’re doomed before we start, regardless of who’s in charge.

You might be taking the comment a little more personally than is warranted. I’m talking about the posts as a whole as opposed to any individual. More than half of these comments would have been posted whether it was McKenna, RDZ, Frank or even Xavi for that matter. That’s endemic of how spoilt the fan base have become. Never happy, always negative. What happened to cheer us on through the sun and rain. What happened to getting behind the manager and being the 12th man? Because all I can see is a thread with 90% of messages throwing hate on a manager who hasn’t even signed yet, has had zero opportunity to stake his claim and all that breeds is people looking for any flaw to fulfill their own confirmation bias who’ll end up jumping down his throat 2 minutes into his career. How can anyone succeed with that kind of mentality from their fan base, it’s the sheer definition of toxicity. The media do enough of that without us adding to the circus.

I’m not over the moon with the idea of this signing but some of the reaction on here is ridiculous. Just goes to show how spoilt we’ve become as a fan base. You’d think the past couple of season might have humbled us.
