I can. Our players may have higher peaks but Everton's are more consistent which is ultimately what matters over a season. I think if we had Everton's team with the few good players we have such as James, caicedo, Palmer, Pedro we would be much better off which is crazy to imagine.

Andrey Santos Signs for Chelsea
I don't think Santos has done himself any favours to warrant starting as even without his mistakes he has been all round poor, far cry from the performances we saw at the start. Granted pretty much everyone in midfield has been poor this season but I would rather stick with Lavia and Caicedo for now.

Pedro Neto *Official*
Something I've only just recently started noticing is he does a lot of those float crosses into the box. Feels like every cross he does is of that kind and its very annoying cause either the keeper gets it or if we do somehow win the header because its floating we dont get enough power on it to actually score from them

Shocking half that

I'm pretty sure Maresca all but confirmed that in a press conference at some stage. I get why he set up the way he did but he was a bit too overly cautious at times.

What's the point? Players aren't gonna turn into world beaters under a different manager

Why the f**k are we handing notes when 6 goals down

In fairness if it was purely down to Bohley we wouldn't be in this situation in the first place, he wouldn't be signing kids.

A sarr and hato CB pairing v PSG is probably the worse decision you could make

Makes more sense to put Hato RB than move Chalobah

Not sure if you watched the post match press conference but he stressed multiple times that it doesn't matter and its taking away from the real issue at hand. He wasn't deflecting, its just the media trying to focus on it.

This was an issue under Maresca too just not as bad.

Chelsea vs Newcastle United (PL) Saturday 14th March 17:30 GMT
I think the only person who didn't do anything wrong for the goal was Chalobah, he was covering for Cucurella who was in no mans land. James didn't notice and drop quick enough.

Enzo Fernandez - Officially a Blue!
I think people have been extremely hypercritical of Enzo for reasons that probably go beyond him as a player, i.e Blueco. I rarely see a balanced take on here, other fans I speak to outside here seems a lot more reasonable in their assessment of him and his time here.

Enzo Fernandez - Officially a Blue!
I said it in the match thread but if Enzo had given the ball away the same way James did for their goal this thread would be a lot more active.

Enzo Fernandez - Officially a Blue!
What freedom do you mean, he's consistently covering the highest ground for us in majority of matches. Freedom to me would be like Palmer v PSG at CWC where he had minimal defensive duties and was solely the outlet of the press.
-
Enzo Fernandez - Officially a Blue!
Tied with Joao Pedro for most unsuccessful passes at 8, Gusto at 7 and Caicedo at 6. 2 unsuccessful dribbles, Palmer the most with 5. 2 shots, 1 of which was a goal. Factoring his defensive numbers too which were on par with others I would say it was a MOTM performance. Even before looking into the Opta stats I thought he was one of our best players but I wouldn't say it was one of his best performances for us, more just a reflection on how average everyone else was which is strange as I thought we played well but it wasn't even near our players best or even the CWC performance.

Robert Sanchez joins Chelsea
I'm assuming that's a joke to be fair.

Robert Sanchez joins Chelsea
Did you not watch him under Maresca this season? He's a great keeper when focusing solely on stopping shots.
-
Robert Sanchez joins Chelsea
I agree with the overall point that we need better. We don't have better at the moment so while we are waiting for the summer, it makes prudent sense to stick with the keeper that has shown he can make quality saves that can make up for the bozo moments you get instead of one that has zero upsides.
-
Robert Sanchez joins Chelsea
We can go back to back like this with examples if you want but theres been far more better saves/good of Sanchez this season than bad I think maybe you have the short memory? Wasn't that long ago he was running away with our player of the season votes

Robert Sanchez joins Chelsea
No one sane is calling Sanchez world class but if you have 2 keepers that are prone to errors when passing out from the back then surely it makes sense to pick the one that is a far better shot stopper? I initially said Sanchez would have saved the last 2 goals, having seen the goals again he would have also saved Dembele's goal too.

Liam Rosenior - Chelsea Head Coach *Now Sacked*
I've liked him so far but today was very poor game management right from before kick off with starting Jorgensen and then the bad subs at 3-2.
-
Filip Jörgensen
Sanchez probably makes the same bad passes but I'm pretty certain he saves both goals at the end.

If that was Enzo who did that we would never hear the end of it
