  1. I mean this in the most respectful manner as you were once a great poster but these owners have turned you into a bit of a nutjob.
  2. From memory anything above 20% is fairly good for wingers and fullbacks that doesn't take set pieces into consideration so this checks out
  3. If he delivered consistently over the season I wouldn't have minded even if I hated his football. So far so good for LR so there's no reason for me to be upset.
  4. Or maybe cause ultimately all that matters are results and he is delivering?
  5. If this was Maresca we wouldn't be winning in the first place so this is a moot point.
  6. So which defender is replacing Santos in midfield?
  7. Scored already and still have to manage his fitness. If we lose simply cause Palmer isn't playing then thats a major issue with the remaining players on the pitch.
  8. Outside one or two questionable decisions I didn't really have an issue with the tactic employed, I felt the players let him down more so than any tactical issues.
  9. No he wasn't? That was the only thing he was good at.
  10. I’m sorry but he just isn’t that good as a winger. One of the very few things Maresca got half right was putting him striker(ofc he still got in wrong in the end as he didn’t adapt system to having a small striker) as he needs to be in and around the box at all times to make use of his only redeeming quality which is his shooting. Maybe if you give him a Salah like role he could blossom too. The real issue is us making two signings that don’t really elevate us rather than us not using/trying to sell George.
  11. This is why I always disagree with those who say he should be playing as a 10. His finishing is simply too good to not have him playing upfront and his playmaking abilities are not good enough to make the sacrifice either
  12. Every option he has is closed off so he only logical thing to do is a long ball to a forward. He's old and experienced enough to know better.
  13. Morocco have been getting dodgy calls all tournament, justice prevailed for sure.
  14. I don't think he was better than v Arsenal but still good. I would rather he just sat and sprayed passes to be honest, I've said it all along, but until we have someone else playing the Enzo box crashing role while also defending like a demon I am going to accept this as a downside to employing said tactic. As a fan with no coaching experience I am not really sure how you can stabilise the midfield consistently when one of your DM's is in opponents box and your other fullback is either overlapping or inverting but still pushing up quite high almost as a second attacking mid. Maybe world class teams can get away with it but we are not there yet. With that in mind, I thought first half in particular he was everywhere pressing, passing was good for the most part, we didn't have many irrc but think he created pretty much all the chances we did have (Happy to be corrected if my memory is playing tricks on me). Wasn't perfect performance by any means as I do remember a chance being broken down cause he took too long on the ball but overall it was good.
  15. I could easily buy into the idea that he is forced into the team, generally what happens when you spend that amount of money on a player, but him picking and choosing what he wants to do is a bit too far-fetched for me.
  16. Not seen much of Rosenior to be honest so I'll take your word for it. I did find it strange he had him sitting last game where he probably had his best game in a while and then all of a sudden changes in v Brentford though.
  17. I agree he should do better here but this isn't a Enzo specific thing, I've seen Caicedo not track runners too the only difference is this one lead to a goal. Also I do acknowledge Enzo has weaknesses, hes not a defensive juggernaut by any means, but alot of issues people have with him are as a result of box crashing role in my opinion which doesn't suit him or us.
  18. It's his fault for things like failing to control a ball and it leading to a turnover or failing to make a simple pass. Him following a tactical instruction is not his fault but rather a weakness of said tactic. It doesn't matter who you put there to do the Enzo box crashing role, apart from prime Kante, the midfield will still be wide open as that's the trade off of employing that style. We literally just saw him sit v Arsenal and the midfield was nowhere near as open. You mention zubemendi finding space but again this was down to cucu going forward at times he shouldn't have done, if you watch MOTD the pundits actually mentioned it in our game v Brentford as it was the same issue of both not getting the timings right.
  19. Or maybe unlike at arsenal when he sat, he was instructed this time to go forward?
  20. I would think its better to do the note giving to a midfielder or striker rather than disrupting your defence even for a few seconds, unless its a very long stopage in play. Thinking back to times James got the note under Maresca as opposed to others it was when he was in midfield. Happy to be corrected but I don't think it matters either way.
  21. Unpopular opinion on here I'm sure but thought he had another good game today.
  22. All that matters at this early stage of his reign are wins. It's too early to be focusing on tactics.
