Arsenal vs Chelsea (PL) Sunday 1st March 16:30 GMT
That was a odd half. Played well till about the 30th min in which we just fell apart and wasted numerous counters. Don't think arsenal really did all that much and we rightfully got a goal before half time.

We are wasting so many counters due to sloppy play, embarrassing

I would say we have been the better team until past like 5-10 mins just can't get a shot off

BlueCo buy Chelsea FC
There are also calculated risks, if they are already in discomfort the chances of injuries are heighted and pushing them through Burnley was not worth it. The fact the players on the pitch bottled it doesn't make it a bad decision to take them off.

Axel Disasi *Official*
The only good thing about him is his height and strength so no surprise he will do well in a low block. I'm pretty sure people were laughing at the thought of anyone thinking he was good at anything else.

I think Palmer was pretty bad to be honest so I understood why he was taken off. In hindsight probably could have just moved James to midfield and taken both off.

Out of curiosity who from the bench would you have replaced Enzo with? Im pretty sure Lavia wasn't fit.

It did fail and he has to take some blame for that, that's the nature of making of those kind of subs, but people seem to be ignoring the main issue which is the players.

We had 3 very good chances, mainly in the first half, that should have been a goal long before Fofana got sent off. I don't know how you've watched the game and can disagree with this. The corner thing, while annoying, is largely irrelevant here. I agree, I never said it wasn't risky but given our previous games with defending corners there's little to no evidence that suggests we wouldn't have struggled regardless so to me it's a bit of a moot point. Logically speaking it was the right call but you can't account of players failing to follow instructions. The Enzo thing is the only one I agree with you on, I said I would have taken him off myself when Fofana got a red but again I can understand why he took off Palmer cause 1) He was pretty poor and 2) he's not a CM/DM so won't be able to effectively congest the middle of the pitch the same way. I think if Lavia was actually fit he would have come on for Enzo at some point but given there was no other option on the bench he probably felt it was best to keep him on.

You can blame the manager if you want but I saw enough chances being made and wasted to know he coached a win. We were still being overrun even with James on, Josh coming on made sense to counter the height they brought on. Neto again didn't do anything, we were being pushed back even with him on the pitch. Stacking the midfield with Enzo Santos and Caicedo with 5 CBs was a perfectly fine plan for the last 5 mins of the game. We didn't concede due to this. The goal we conceded would happen regardless of who we had on.

We didn’t come out of first gear but we honestly didn’t need to. Should easily have been 3 goals up at least. Can’t keep blaming managers for the players lack of quality upfront. As for the subs, people are reaching a lot. I would probably have taken of Enzo over Palmer myself but it was still an understandable sub to make. As for James and Neto off for Josh and Sarr, that again was fine considering how long of the game was left and fresh legs we have upfront. We concede due to poor defending of a set piece which happens even without us having 5 CBs on the pitch.

So you think James and Neto would have defended a corner bettter than two CBs? Nothing to do with the sub, just poor defending all round.

Raheem Sterling signs for Chelsea
Strange how now that he's been paid off the remaining years of his contract he's all of a sudden open to playing outside of London.

How bad must Guiu be in training if he can't get game time over this guy
-
Josh Acheampong
Agreed. Generally how it works when easing in young defenders who can play multiple roles, we did similar with Gilchrist. In Josh case though I actually think he has more potential at RB with how good his passing and dribbling is, seems a bit wasted at CB.
-
Trevoh Chalobah
Yes I do think he would be good with a top CB by his side. He is exactly like Cahill in that aspect, standout defender in mid table teams but at bigger club will need a Terry to truly shine. I agree with the overall point that he is not a starter CB for a team wanting to seriously win things but he's not getting a free ride, he has genuinely been good in his individual performances despite the defence as a whole not looking great.

Trevoh Chalobah
Joint 5th best defence in the league whilst we play musical chairs with our defenders. Not bad at all.
-
Trevoh Chalobah
We are always going to be shaky at the back regardless of who starts simply cause our options are not very good. Chalobah has been the best of the lot but he alone is not going to be enough to stop a shaky defence.

Easily one of our best performances since he has taken over ruined by poor individual mistakes. We played far better than our win v Brentford for example and didn't get rewarded. Completely unacceptable from the players.

Enzo Fernandez - Officially a Blue!
Also had passes into Joao Pedro that created 2 good chances and another one into Palmer's stride that if he hadn't overran would have been another good shooting opportunity. Wasn't his best game by any means, especially in second half, but on balance he was mostly okay.

Sorry but regardless of subs, one of which seems to have been forced, its a game we should have won. Players really let him down today, he coached a win.

Pedro easily our best finisher, never in doubt when 1v1.
