Yes thats exactly what im suggesting, like i said 4-4-2 with the full backs being full backs, and that being the reason that i would choose Paulo over Bertie. Which then means a 4 man midfield with the wide men dropping back to the halfway line along with the holding midfielder. It would then be up to Hazard and Oscar to do that, which if im honest i know Oscar already does that, not too sure on Hazard BUT hes Hazard and it would be hard to leave him out of any team. And with Ba playing pretty much in the hole area it allows knock ons and also Mata to dictate the play from deep. I dont see that as over run at all. Your entitled to your opinion i just wonder how you came to a conclusion that we would get over run as you seemed quite certain. As poor as Torres has or hasnt been in the past 2.5 seasons i STILL dont know what Mikel brings to the team, any Footballer who is only effective when they DONT have the ball is a wonder of modern science. Hes not a box to box player like others who have played that awkward position and he looks either lost or disinterested most of the time. Maybe hes trying to remember the theme tune to the Europa league instead of following play. Or to put it bluntly Mikel isnt even good at the jobs Mikel is required to do. A no brainer but a damn good question evissy.

I dont see us spending 30 mil on Fellaini come the close season, i thought we might have done in the mid season transfer market but once the season comes to an end players want to move on and i think there will be better for less money. Plus if we really do get Jose back then i think one of the first things he will do is restructure the over 30 rule and if he does that then alot more top quality world class players become available. As for a centre forward i dont see us paying top money for a player untried in the premier league, we have been bitten too many times bringing centre forwards into the premier league only for them to flop and leave a year later. And i dont see cost effective as a word the Rom will be using come the pre season to be honest, lets just hope whoever the manager is actually thinks about gelling a new squad rather than picking international names out of a hat and hoping the do the business.

Is asking professional athletes to play 60+ games a season really that much of an ask? I read people making excuses for some of our players like " but he has had to play 3 games in a week " or " hes being rested for saturdays game against whoever * Correct me if im wrong but even at 3 games a week with a semi strong squad of 24 i dont see that many games as a major issue. They definitely are not getting up at 6am to dig holes for 8 hours a day, or doing some other type of long hour low pay job. Or the other thing is *Whoever* needs to work on this or that part of his game, surely if we sign a player to play in a position and hes meant to be established in said position come match day there shouldnt be pre made excuses in case he has an offday. I really think the word Professional needs to be taken as literal and thats why i think im correct in saying that any one of us in this forum who is considered Professional in whatever trade they do wouldnt get away with screwing up X amount of times in a 8 month period. Firstly i totally agree that we look like we are becoming a flimsy Arsenal type of team, even down to wanting to walk the ball into the net. Why Essien was ever sent on loan to arguably one of the best teams in the world and walked straight into a starting place, yet was deemed surplus for us is a mystery. Lets just hope a new season brings new players, the right players regardless of who is our new manager.
