Nothing is going to change until they stop changing a third of the squad every season, and allow them to develop some collective experience, preferably with some stable management as well !

I agree but going public with the statements make no sense. It weakens our bargaining positions with other sides as they can just drag their feet with any incoming deals and it also dents his authority as a manager if he says one thing and does the complete opposite a few weeks later.

I'm not sure why he's doubling down on not giving any minutes to any of the players that don't leave Chelsea by deadline day? If there's an injury crisis, something we are all too familiar with here then I am sure his hand will be forced. What happens if Cucurella and Viega get injured? Suddenly we don't have ANY left backs at all and if Chilwell is still around it would be incredibly stupid to not give him game time.

I don't like that at all, this isn't how to treat players. I get he and the club have to encourage players to leave, but these are players who have been professional, some of them have served the club with distinction, and they've been signed or handed new contracts by the ownership.
Think of what the club told sterling when they signed him, when they were selling them their 'project'. If you can stomach that, think of what they told Ben Chilwell or trevoh Chalobah when they were handed new contracts.

Positive set up against Wolves. Pleasantly surprised with the width on show and the threat we offered on the counter. Jackson dropping deep seems to suit him best as he has the ability to offer killer through balls on the counter. We still look easy to penetrate especially out wide but fluidity of our attacks in the second half were close to perfection.

The year is 2025: Ipswich have defied expectations and finished 10th in the league. Chelsea have parted ways with Maresca after finishing 8th in the table and have hired Kieren Mckenna on a 9 year contract and have just tabled a bid to re-purchase Broja for 60 million after a 20 goal season. (Joke 😜)
    Good luck Armando!

Considering we recently sold the best disciplined and highest work ethic based player we have had in years it strikes me as bizarre that he keeps drilling this philosophy every time he does an interview.

He's taking an unusual approach with the press. I've never really seen a manager be this open publicly when calling players out. Time will tell whether it will have the desired effect but balance is always welcome in situations like these, being too public with stuff like this can backfire. How can we criticise what Sterling did when the coach is essentially doing a close equivalent.

alternatively, now that Ukraine has invaded Russia can we have Roman back please

In a parellel universe somewhere Putin didn't pull the trigger and invade Ukraine and Roman is still the owner. Who would our manager be and how different would our starting eleven be? What sort of transfers would the old ownership have made? Would we be in the champions league this year?
This is not a hating thread on the new owners at all, so please do not turn it into one. Just a hypothetical scenario that seems interesting to think about.

Posting on Instagram after the move to Atletico was confirmed, Gallagher said:
“To everyone at Chelsea, thank you for making my dreams come true. It’s been an absolute honour every time I put on the shirt, and it was a dream come true to captain the team on many occasions. I loved every moment. “These memories will last forever. I appreciate all the love and support from the fans. Hearing the chant of my name at the Bridge is a special feeling, and the banner you displayed meant the world to me. Thank you for everything. I wish the club all the best for the future, and I hope to see you all soon at Stamford Bridge!”

Whether you like the player or not it doesn't matter.
The way the club is run and how they are trying to force players out because THEY made financial mistakes is disgraceful.

If he didn't have any ambition/motivation left like some mention on here then If i was him I'd sit there and collect my wages as a big FU to the board.

I don’t rate Sterling much, I did dislike his behaviour in some of the games last season, and am not bothered if he gets sold. I don’t like that he released that statement.
However, the situation with him highlights the madhouse that this board is creating at Chelsea FC. The fact that the coach said he counted on Sterling and then, days later, the same coach had to leave him out of the team, shows how much of a random strategy this lot are running. There’s no plan with this lot, one day they want something and the following day they want the opposite. I was quite supportive of them at the beginning but, it is becoming evident that they are not very sound of mind and I just can’t see any plan on how to build a team (rather than a collection of players). And, I’m starting to feel that they are not very sure how to run economically the club, had we saved part of all the money spent on kids with potential, we might not have needed to sell players for pure profit. Also, what’s the strategy of having to buy a teams player so that the said team gets the funds to buy our player? It’s just madness and chaos.

I think you are missing the point entirely. This is not a personal mission I have for Broja's sake. It's more of general image we are depicting to future academy prospects, transfers and potential fans. The message being, if you are a talented youngster, be prepared to be used and then thrown to the curb once you develop and become valuable so we profit from you so we sign the next world Cup winner from South America.

We're already at the point now where a section of the support is blaming the fans. The ones that make the most sacrifices to follow their club are getting blamed for toxicity at the club. We've turned into Man United, blaming the fans for everything the owners have caused.
