I share the enthusiasm for one of the old guard to become eventual manager but if they get the position it should be done entirely on merit and not sentimentality.

I would like to second this, I was one of the first to defend him but would like to retract my earlier comment after watching it again.

Could be that he's not fully comfortable playing in such a fluid and inter-changing front 3. He's always much better solely in the middle as he is for Brazil and lacks Hazard and Willian's dribbling so maybe deploying him more rigidly would help.

If we can't land a striker in the summer I honestly would have him as no.2 to Lukaku next year, can't be worse than what we currently have.
