  1. That's typical DM trying to vilify Torres. He needs to go in the summer I think everybody knows that I don't believe for a minute he would 'dig his heels in at all'. The only thing remotely believable in that article is the idea of a portion of his wages being paid if he gets a move elsewhere. Nando's still a chelsea player I won't buy this bullsh*t that the mail are on about I'll support him whilst he wears the shirt but lets hope its not for much longer.
  2. For the record as well I don't think that Jose is doing anything because of the Spanish link between these all im trying to do is look at it from a different angle but here is a cracking article from the man Guillem Balague that actually brings in all points together and gives a good clear resolution in my eyes http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1783936-juan-mata-will-be-a-better-player-for-jose-mourinhos-rough-treatment-at-chelsea
  3. http://www.thesundaytimes.co.uk/sto/sport/article1317164.ece hashtag just saying
  4. ^ hmmm barring winning the league once i wouldnt call it great success in Spain in terms with what he's done elsewhere. But this is another discussion Chippy - you make a fair point however Jose has often played up for the media so I wouldn't read too much into what he's said. Mata may have responded professionally which is no more than i'd suspect from him as he seems an ultimate professional but if things were to carry on the same way (IF) then you can't tell me Mata would be happy by January and wouldn't possibly try and engineer a move away one of which I believe Jose may very well approve. Especially if he's so content with Oscar occupying the no. 10 role. This I think for the season could prove catastrophic. I get the Ivan at RB although it is for all to see that he is sh*te at going forward and although solid at the back we are relying on our full backs for pace and attacking ability. Cesar especially towards the end of last season provided that! So I'm just not sure how 7 or so games into the season we haven't seen Cesar get a chance to show. Although rightly so he will on tuesday so im hoping he can convince him then. Torres is getting chances as you say but to pick Eto'o for three games in a row playing roughly 240 minutes. This guy is clearly not sharp yet just seems strange to me. Is he that unconvinced with Torres? Probably yes just thinks hes sh*te but i thought surely Eto'o would be eased into the premier league environment and had time to gather his sharpness back. Torres had a good game against Bayern but to be demoted immediately at Everton just seemed strange and then again in the CL. But yeah call me crazy. Like i say i don't think there is any anti spanish conspiracy going on but I can't shake the idea he's trying to dismiss some of these players who did so well under Rafa last year.... (Mata/Azpi/) I love Jose believe me
  5. a pre meditated rejection of Rafa's selections but if you say so....
  6. Crucify me for thinking outloud I will only comment from now on when i have something pro Jose yes?
  7. okay looking at it from a rational perspective Mata is our best player for 2 years in a row then all of a sudden he's demoted and told he needs to learn to play right wing and track back more? Cause he wasn't good enough as our number 10? you telling me that hasn't got the sniffing of some kinda different sub text??? like i said with torres and cesar it makes sense so im not confirming that Jose has some Anti spanish issue but the Mata situation I reckon potentially could be down to some other issue with Jose.
  8. I can't work out why he's not playing Mata. Torres and Cesar makes more sense. Surely it's gotta be more than the poxy reasons Jose has given in his interviews.
  9. I think it was on 606 not sure which pundit came out with this but they said regarding Jose's omission of Mata something on the lines of an 'egotistical issue with Jose wanting to mould his own team instead of continuing the system Benitez preferred last year' Then he went onto say that Cesar, Torres and Mata were first choices for Rafa and therefore Mourinho wanted to change this under his tenure. Might seem pretty obvious but read into that what you will...
  10. Torres played well and scored against Bayern...yet the next game at Everton he's dropped for Eto'o (who clearly isn't close to being sharp). Then not even in the squad in the week in which Eto'o again starts and plays 90? I think the special one got this wrong to be fair.
  11. Yeah true going back to Jose's comments also about playing Torres against the right opponents. Perhaps with Eto'o we now may be able to utilise him, Torres and Lukaku in certain situations to our benefit! Could be a right solution to our striker problems....... p.s i'm writing Ba off as i presume if he doesnt move on loan he will get limited game time
  12. Just a thought, under Jose it seems as if we are going to adopt that counter attacking football more so than the possession based that we played a lot last season. I feel Torres could flourish when playing like this. Jose said it somewhere in a quote didnt he (there or thereabouts). I felt Torres benefited from having Schurrle who when he got the ball was extremely direct and picked Torres out twice with a decent cross one of which he finished expertly. Now im not saying we're going to see the return of "el nino" if we play counter attacking football! But certainly feel Torres is at his best when he is given the chance to one touch finish are we crazy?
  13. gotta say watching City tonight it occurred to me that their midfield were superb (albeit Aguero was playing in there) but i thought Dzeko was absolutely useless.....
  14. I think we will only see Rooney at Chelsea if United go and make a marquee signing. I can't see them handing us over Rooney without a suitable acquisition to replace him (not necessarily a forward I know theyre looking for a midfielder). Unlike Arsenal who sold Van Persie to United and replaced him with Giroud (pretty much handing United the title)
  15. ^ Disagree about Mandzukic, good player but last season was outscored by Lukaku and Ba inleague goals... Torres on his day would have him also imo
  16. Seemed to show two contrasting styles.... Lukaku - an advanced forward but in this game was increasingly isolated and Torres a deep lying forward who was creating things more than getting on the end of anything.... nice soundtrack also
  17. Wenger must hate this guy, the one player from the french league he never took a punt with.....preferred Chamakh, Gervinho etc......HA
  18. Has there ever been such unrest with a player who finished the season top goal scorer for Chelsea?
  19. Read in Daily Mail that he's being linked with Valencia as a replacement for Soldado if anyone cares
  20. Liverpool always have clinged on to their past and whilst Torres was in a red shirt he was on fire so they would obviously believe that a return would spell more success.....I'm sure there is probably some thread trying to get Robbie Fowler or Ian Rush to come out of retirement somewhere. All in all i think we can do it with Torres/Ba/Lukaku, last season scoring goals wasn't exactly the problem we let in a shed load too!
  21. They've missed out on him before and lightning would certainly strike twice as they've got no chance. If he's going anywhere it would likely be either Real or Barca! Why on earth the English media think they can try and fool the public with that tosh i'll never understand mind you it is quite funny linking Arsenal with top players and then seeing it never happen!!
  22. Totally agree with pretty much everything you've said there! Would much prefer Zlatan to Rooney.
  23. Villa is a c**t end of. Yeah arguments and what not happen on the pitch I'm fully aware of that but they were smashing tahiti why was there any need to argue with Mata who played a perfectly justifiable ball to Torres who scored. If he hadnt then he could of had a go.
  24. He's obviously seen the most of fernando's worst but now he's manager here why not give him a fair crack of the whip! Still mind we need Cavani
  25. Sweddy replied to FLYMJ's topic in Chelsea FC Rumours
wow it isn't after all could of swore in all competitions torres had more than dzeko but i guess i'm wrong in all seriousness Dzeko has only 30 goals in something like 75 appearances for City granted we know fernando has something like 30+ in 110+? appearances for chelsea but is this the kind of forward we want to help us win the league We need someone whose been in form in the league for their club for at a couple of years. Spitballing here yo'
