The Brit
written this long piece about how he made loads of changes during his reign for the better and had lots of ideas of what he'd do in the future before he was axed...I find in this piece he takes a lot of credit for what was a squad built by jose and the fact he kept the same system...sure he wasn't as controversial as jose, but he wasn't able to change as many games from the bench and will never be forgiven for looking such a muppet in carling cup final http://www.guillembalague.com/guestwriter_desp.php?id=
loz
I don't think he is claiming to have loads of changes during his reign. It reads to me far more like he only made marginal changes in his time and that he was working towards bigger changes over an extended period. And that is something that was mirrored by John Terry in a television interview (maybe on Football Focus but don't remember for sure) when he said that Grant was making gradual changes in his first season but had already talked about making more substantial ones the following season. BLUENUT
I don't think he is claiming to have loads of changes during his reign. I also read an article from JT who said we basically finished last season without a manager and the players just got with it themselves, Grants role was miniscule and Clarke did a hell of alot behind the scenes. I always thought the fella was out of his depth and his lack of job offers from football clubs, worldwide, seem to suggest they think the same. The cones were never going to unstack themselves were they? Edited March 24, 2009 by BLUENUT
Chippy
Shame the team had to go and get a manager this season than as if what Bluenut says has any truth in it we were surely better off without one. wheres the shaking head emoticon?

Just skimming through it, I can say: Yes, he is deluded. He takes himself far too seriously and assumes too much. Most of the things in this article are big exaggerations.
