Not one to start threads,but i have been watching footie for well to long,and i have never seen a freekick hit with such thunderous venom,i was watching the match with scousers as well,and every one just simply went f**kING HELL, nothing else was needed.

that had me in stitches when i saw the replay from behind. riccy`s shouting at someone and turns round just as alex hits it, and the look of pure terror on his face is funny as hell...

That was comedy when that happened about Ricky. As for the freekick it was fantastic and probably the best goal that was scored in the match.

If I was a football player I would never, ever, ever be part of the wall when someone is taking a freekick, especially if it's someone like Alex who'll take it. Imagine getting hit. Worse, imagine getting hit in your gonads. No chance to have kids after that :lol:

Oh, I wouldn't say that. He's scored a number of epic free kicks in the past. The Portsmouth one springs to mind. And the one he scored against Blackburn.

I still don't think the Blackburn one was all that good, if I am remembering the right one. I thought it was just sh*t goalkeeping, but who knows, he has hit some great free kicks.

Sinisa Mihaljovic, at Lazio, keepers refused to practice pk with him because of the shot power, but what a dirty dirty player B)
