Best Away Fans You've Ever Seen At the Bridge

Featured Replies

All those you've listed were because of the clubs policy of giving the shed end for domestic cup games.

Best fans I can ever remember were valerenga or maybe colchester.

Worst fans/Biggest bunch of w**kers = Celtic, lazio and maybe Liverpool.

Couldve sworn utd had the whole shed, either way I think you know what I'm getting at. Id really like us to stop inviting fans to have a great noise and party by giving them a really predominant area of the ground.

Spurs was 07 not 06 also. They were two nil and they f**ked it up

Was the Utd game inquestion the one we drew 0-0? If so, I was in the Shed Lower, and the Mancs did have the MHL. Think Jose made a point later about splitting up the MH faithful.

They were in good voice, and we were shocking. I remember me and a bloke about 6 seats away from me being the only ones singing, it was obvious that they'd split everyone up. The mancs were even singing "you're not Chelsea anymore!"

But they also lauded their way to the bridge after a police escort from the station, so they were a little "cocky!"

Worst fans for me , ok it wasnt at the Bridge but travelling to London and sitting @ Dublin Airport surrounded by Celtic fans heading to a Celtic game was horrific . I got every insult thrown at me while wearing a Chelsea jersey .

Best fans were Everton last season in Carling cup .

Best away support I've ever seen at the Bridge was from Glasgow Rangers: - Ron Harris' testimonial in 1971 and the Bradford City Fire Fund game in 1985. Both were non-competetive mid-week evening kick-off's, yet Rangers brought thousands of fans down, almost filling the North Stand terrace both times - respect!

Also remember Plymouth bringing large support for an evening League Cup game in the early 70's, and Portsmouth always brought thousands to the Bridge in the good old days.

Obviously other clubs brought good support too, over the last 40 years - I'll have to get my thinking cap on! ::ChELSeAFaN::

I think Pompey always used to be a bit tasty, and these days are a great bunch of witty f**kers.

For sheer 100% commitment to singing right throughout the game even though they were getting outplayed, Schalke a couple of years ago were right up there amongst the honours.

Worst, in a "most disappointing way" is a toss-up between Rat-munchers, the Upton Pikeys over the last few years and Celtic

Besiktas away was retty tasty too...I love how quiet the whole stadium got when Jimmy scored....except for the one sectiona roar from the Chelsea fans. Remember the 2nd half being delayed because they'd thrown a ton of bog roll all over the back of the pitch. Great game
