That would have certainly been a shock. I'm pleased that he's got a new contract though, he's the best left back in the world and is really hitting form, let's just hope he wasn't just playing well to get the new contract. It's happened before.

ash cole as improved every season he's been at the bridge, dont think there will be a slump because he has a new deal, he doesnt seem the type of player to do that, and always gives his all in every match

And Anelka is rumoured to be in the huff because he's not being offered one. I know it's in the rumours, but I doubt Anelka will be offered one. However, to secure Ashley for a little longer is great news
