Fun fact - Alice Cooper was being interviewed on the Johnny Walker show yesterday afternoon and his opinion is that the Sex Pistols were just another incarnation of the Monkees. Vaguely competent(ish) musicians pulled together into a boy band by a producer with a vision, after a huge number of different people getting auditioned and then a group of song-writers creating a group image. Made me quite amused, anyway 🙂

Was one of Alice Cooper's choices of records to play, as well. Sunday afternoon on the lawn with beer and Johnny Walker is the theme of this weird summer 🙂

September 21, 20205 yr I saw Dizzy Gillespie at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club in the early eighties. A great concert. Dizzy was a fine trumpet player.

I was lucky enough to see Muddy in 1978 it was just a great show after his set for an encore they did about 40 minutes with Gregg Allman on keyboard and vocals. One of those nights you remember well after more than 40 years.
