The Monkees and Daydream Believer.

Bit random I accept, just like this song.

Fun fact - Alice Cooper was being interviewed on the Johnny Walker show yesterday afternoon and his opinion is that the Sex Pistols were just another incarnation of the Monkees.  Vaguely competent(ish) musicians pulled together into a boy band by a producer with a vision, after a huge number of different people getting auditioned and then a group of song-writers creating a group image.  Made me quite amused, anyway 🙂

Interesting. And both groups did cover versions of the Paul Revere and the Raiders song: (I'm not your) Steppin' Stone.

Was one of Alice Cooper's choices of records to play, as well.

Sunday afternoon on the lawn with beer and Johnny Walker is the theme of this weird summer 🙂

Just brilliant

Indeed. I would have loved to have seen Muddy Waters in concert but it wasn't to be as he passed away in 1983.

His song Mannish Boy was the tune that got me interested in Blues music.

I was lucky enough to see Muddy in 1978 it was just a great show after his set for an encore they did about 40 minutes with Gregg Allman on keyboard and vocals.  One of those nights you remember well after more than 40 years.
