Here we go again

with man u beating spurs,i now feel it will once again go down to the last game, and i think wigan will be bloody difficult to beat, they will probably park the bus,and with the strength that they have i think they will frustrate us,but then again, with our quality we should have no trouble beating them, unless we come with the same attitude as we did against west ham(a),hull(a),villa(a) and tottenham last week.

i hope we can do it,but damn, weve made a huge meal of it by dropping silly points a various places this season.

To be honest we have to win our next two games to get to that Scenario. The only consolation is that we are still ahead of them on goal difference allbeit by just one.

Personally i feel it's going to be decided at Anfield, im confident we can beat Stoke and Wigan. We have the quality to do that and we also have the quality to go and beat Liverpool on their turf but the difference is that it's Liverpool and anything can happen.

If we dont win it it will be because when it came to the crunch we were not good enough, not because we threw it away - i dont buy into this 'we should be 6 points clear' theory.

We're not. Its thats simple, we cant kid ourselves - the reason we are not is because we have often this season played anything but like a championship team in too many matches to mention.

I have no doubts its going to be decided next week in Liverpool and im not confident. I can sense a draw, but lets hope im wrong.

Last week was the pivot i think, and like i just said in the 'nearest and dearest' thread i think that Scholes goal was the moment it all changed and we lacked the bottle, the belief and most of all , the quality to respond to it.

Now that Man U defeated Spurs, the spotlight is back on us and we can't afford to lose or draw any of the next three games. Win all three and the title is ours!

I still think we can do it but im not as confident as i was before last weekend.

Havnt eaten properly the last 3 days and this weekend is just dragging in.

If we win tomorrow then i think we'll still be in a great position but theres a huge amount of improvement needed and the players need to believe . Carlo HAS to motivate them and get them into a frame of mind .

Not sure if i will watch tomorrow , too nervous. Sorry.

Spot on.

The Tottenham game all but confirmed that this squad does not have enough quality for anybody to complain about choking or not showing up. The players turned up, they wanted to win desperately but they just couldn't beat Tottenham. If we win it we'll have desrved it and if we don't it'sbecause we weren't good enough.

I don't have much faith in us getting 3 wins in a row considering how poor we've been this season. We need Utd to slip up and I don't see that happening after todays game.

United have now done their part. We all knew that Spurs would f@ck it up at their place. We now have to be at our very best to win all 3 remaining games. And personally, i'm not confident. I cant see United dropping points now, whereas i think we will struggle at Liverpool especially.

As it stands and i HATE to admit it, i feel the same :(

wat

It is over, all we have to do is win 3 games against average sides. Easy. Chelsea will be champions.

If thats the kind of mental fragility the squad have, then I think blowing the lead was inevitable at some point in the remaining season.

What were the players even doing watching that game? The message from the manager shouldve been "no distractions, get yourself prepared, the score doesnt matter just go to WHL and take care of business"

Instead I have visions of the team seeing that last minute winner and the room going dead silent, realizing that another Man Utd comeback is inevitable. I just cant fathom a scenario in which the players would allow themselves that kind of knowledge right before a crucial game.

Today doesnt really bother me, because Sperz have always and will always bottle it when they are on the verge of doing anything meaningful. Its like clockwork. So while they beat us and Arsenal, and the faint glimmer of hope that they would take points off the Mancs, they were far more likely to collapse like a house of cards

I'm not trying to be overly confident about our title hopes, but i personally don't think the Liverpool game will be difficult. they'll give a run for sure but after all they are more concerned with winning the EUROPA league. Also if they let us win, it puts one over on Man United. Combined with the fact they have no Torres, and Gerrard is more thinking about moving in with Gary Glitter then football at the moment, they aren't like the team they were last year

I will add to that that I think we will still do it. I am not supremely confident, but alot of titles have been won with a chasing team closing the points gap right at the end.

On the other hand, if there is a collapse, as much as it will hurt, Roman will surely be galvanized into the much awaited, long overdue, squad overhaul that we all know we need to keep contending the next few seasons
