What does this title mean for you?

It was a great pleasure reading Star's and Geezer's posts, which showed just how important this club is to people's lives over time. The Bates and Abramovich's come and go, and same goes for players (even our beloved Zola, who I can't help feel has somewhat broken with the spirit of the club after his West Ham adventure). But the supporter's are the club.

For me this season has been a new departure. Moving to the UK near the start of the Abramovich era I felt a bit let down because the kind of club and atmosphere I'd hoped to join was transformed into this bling outfit which was attracting all manner of superficial fans (and players). I'd intended to be a regular attendee at SB (a reason for choosing to come over), but I've been a bit reluctant for fear of being just another international band-wagon fan (and also lack of cash). As just pointed out to me, I probably missed the true significance of those Jose titles because I hadn't really lived through the bad times so didn't properly appreciate the satisfaction of breaking through and WINNING.

But the bling years are now over. This was a title won by a mature squad who have longterm relations with the supporters and the club, with only one new squad member. Looking at the photos on Gem's thread I think there's a difference this season. It's not Jose punching the air because he's shown again he's the 'special one'. It's not some mercenary footballer who's glad he's come to a club that 'wins things' and 'can play champions league football'. It's not supporters vicariously joining in the celebrations of the sugar-daddy's plaything. This title was won by the players for the supporters. And I salute Carlo Ancellotti for being an understated manager who, in my mind, has let the clubness of the team come forward. 8 goals to win the season was a tribute not just to a more fluid football, but a team that wanted to give pleasure to the fans beyond getting a result.

The squad needs to go through another transformation, but I'm so happy that the group of '04-'06 has won another title and shown their real dedication and quality. For me this title is really the beginning of my time as a Chelsea supporter (and not fan), and I will be heading to SB whenever I can afford it from here on.

I'd be interested to hear from other people, and not just those who have 30+ years of support behind them.

My dad brought me to my first game in the 93/94 season, been goin ever since, hes being going over since the 70s thats where he brought my mam for there honeymoon lol. We got the train from earls court to fulham broadway and i remember goin past the north terrace on the district line and seeing the huge floodlights and the roof of the benches ie west stand. that was the best feeling ever It was heard for irish people to go watch chelsea not everyone made us welcome, a few of us walked in to the chipper nexted to the white hart pub, both are gone now and when we ordered, the customers in the chipper got up and went just because they heard our southern accents. they reason im saying this is because it was'nt easy going to the bridge with an accent like ours was hard for me even harder for my dad beacause he went through the 70s and 80s. so im not excactly jumping on the bandwagon supporting chelsea. i used to love going over and seeing the ground going to the changes. When I got a job at 16 i started going on my own great days. The FA Cup on 97 was fantastic then we started winning things Chelsea are back as the song went, We won the tittle against bolton then got the trophy against charlton i was lucky to be there but that did'nt feel real because we where on cloud nine. This year it was better because we won our trophy back, this time it was real. its been hard work following chelsea down the years. I was the only fan in the school all changed now id say.lol. been even harder for the older fans, but know matter what age you are and how long you supported chelsea we all deserve what happened sunday.Bring on the double. Chelsea making our history, saving liverpool's

My Dad started taking me as soon as I was onld enough. My parents lived off of North End Road so Chelsea was the team my Dad supported, I started going in the eighties, and loved the atmosphere. The crowd was very different to the one we see today. I remember getting excited about seeing my favourite player( Kerry Dixon). Most of the other children at school were all Liverpool and Manure supporters, I could never understand why, I was proud to support Chelsea even though we wernt winning anything at the time. Now I realise these kids were glory hunters whose father never took them anywhere near a football terrace and who have never even set foot in Manchester of Binland. That first win with Jose was so inportant to me because it ended all the fustration and gave me the hope that we will now be consistant winners. We have proved this, and those years of fustration are well behind me.

For me, this title is an affirmation that we are here to stay as a top club. After three years of turmoil things have settled down and we have been able to reassert our authority. The fact that we hadn't won for 3 years was a serious underachievement with the players we have. We need to move forward from here. Bringing through some of our younger players and making one or two acquisitions.

Nothing though will surpass the 04-05 title, after 50 years waiting, and winning it so comprehensively with a record points tally and an aura of invincibility.

This title will probably mean more to the club than the fans. When Jose brought the tilte to the Bridge it was an incredible moment for us to retain it gave us a beloief that we were truly the best team of the time. Since then we have seen many changes some good some bad. But this title victory has been achieved with limited change to staff but with maximum results.

This title somehow feels we have in a way dropped anchor in our rightfull postion and from here we will progress to bigger and better things.

This title is us finally beating the spectre of Mourinho, proving that we are a top club without tens of millions of investment and that we are capable of stability while performing at a world-class level.

It is confirmation that Cech, JT, Lampard and Drogba are legends, and will be at the top of their game longer than I thought possible.

It is the fulfillment of our potential to oust Arsenal and Man Utd from their thrones at the top of the Premiership table long-term.

It is Chelsea reigning supreme as the best team in the country, something I haven't believed would happen for quite a long time.
