Pauly Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 (edited) How's it going everyone? 10 days before the start of the World Cup I bring you a brief prediction: Marcello Lippi takes an old, confused, possibly hungry Italian team to World Cup glory, becoming the second Italian to win back to back world cups. In celebration he goes on a tour of Spain eating all the Iberian Ham on the Southern coast, wiping out the pig in this region, then having a heart attack and being buried under the leaning tower of Pisa. No Totti, Grosso, Toni, Del Piero, Inzaghi, no trequartista or fantasy player, and somehow Iaquinta has sneaked back into the squad.. We'll line up with a 4231 that will probably look like this: ----------------------Buffon---------------------- Maggio----Cannavaro----Chiellini----Zambrotta ---------------Pirlo--------De Rossi-------------- -------------------Marchisio---------------------- Camoranesi----------------------------Di Natale --------------------Gilardino---------------------- Although Boriello in attack may have a say, Bonucci (had a great season, is now wanted by a host of big clubs- I heard 13million euro for 50% this week! This also depends on the fitness of Chiellini at the start of the tournament), Zambrotta is not assured of a place and Cassani/Cristicio may sneak in. Di Natale hit 25 goals this season for Udinese, and for the rest we'll have to wait and see the squad on Wednesday. Montolivo might break his way in if the middle 3 aren't working well. Iaquinta will surely be used tactically on the right again and is somewhat Lippi's pet. In short, one more picture: How can we lose with Scolari as assistant manager?! Edited May 31, 2010 by Pauly
g3.7 Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 we won't see these scenes again, for you will not be making the final. good luck all the same.

Pauly Posted May 31, 2010 Author Posted May 31, 2010 and all it took was: http://www.zimbio.com/pictures/oCv4dMcqcuB...S/Bjorn+Kuipers http://www.zimbio.com/pictures/oCv4dMcqcuB...Fabio+Cannavaro two red cards? let's do some math: Score after first leg: 3-1 Ju-"champions-of-italy"-ventus. score before 2 dubious red cards, 4-2. Score after 2 dubious red cards: 4-4. In any chance, Juve will have more than enough chance in next year's Euro Cup to make up for the embarassment. In any case, the one that matters was won by the pride of Italy:
g3.7 Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 (edited) AHA! you've fallen into my venus fly trap like some kind of.... fly. was hoping that would be a bit more biting. wait! biting... like a venus fly trap! yes! all it took for inter to win the champions league was to remove EVERY SINGLE ITALIAN PLAYER from the starting line up, and bring in a portuguese coach. the only thing italian about that victory was the cheating along the way. more shameful stuff, as typical italians react with sarcasm in rome. match fixing; still regarded by europe as a problem, still regarded by italy as a pastime. Pauly Posted May 31, 2010 Author Posted May 31, 2010 (edited) Frankly I find your criticism of Mourinho disgusting, you sir are un-chelsea. Let me recount it for you as your memory seems to be affected. It was a warm night in Madrid, Inter legs were tiring and Jose knew he needed to work some of his trademark magic. The pressure was mounting in the Inter half but it wasn't until that decisive moment when we knew the cup would be coming home: The statistics tell it all: No. Name SH SG G A OF FD FC SV YC RC 12 Julio César (G) - - - - - - - 3 - - 25 Walter Samuel (CD-L) - - - - - - 1 - - - 6 Lucio (CD-R) 1 - - - - - 1 - - - 26 Cristian Chivu (LB) - - - - - - 3 - 1 - 13 Maicon (RB) 1 - - - - 1 1 - - - 19 Esteban Cambiasso (LM) 2 - - - - 1 1 - - - 4 Javier Zanetti (RM) - - - - - - 1 - - - 22 Alberto Diego Milito (F) 2 2 2 - - 4 - - - - 10 Wesley Sneijder (RCF) 5 4 - 1 - 4 1 - - - 27 Goran Pandev (AM-L) 1 1 - - - 5 1 - - - 9 Samuel Eto'o (AM-R) - - - 1 - 1 - - - - Substitutes 23 Marco Materazzi (SUB) - - - - - - - - - - 5 Dejan Stankovic (SUB) - - - - - - 3 - - - 1 Francesco Toldo (SUB) - - - - - - - - - - 2 Ivan Cordoba (SUB) - - - - - - - - - - 11 Sulley Muntari (SUB) - - - - - - - - - - 45 Mario Balotelli (SUB) - - - - - - - - - - 17 McDonald Mariga (SUB) - - - - - - - - - - Not a single foul conceded or pass misplaced, Materazzi made us think and made us dream. The Moos Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Juventus isn't corrupt. The trial was a f*cking joke. No real evidence was given, but they had to appear to do something to please the world so Juventus was made the scapegoat. The fact is that Juventus did nothing wrong. Moggi had done nothing other teams hadn't already done and in no way did it have any affect on the results. And as far as I can remember the three games that was discussed didn't even have any impact on Juventus' success (I don't even think they won all the them).
The Moos Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 oh.but fulham must be a good side if they can do that to italy's finest? surely they must have won the title? I hope you are aware that the league and the cup is two different things? After all, Chelsea faced Portsmouth in the final of one and only won 1-0. Where did Portsmouth end up? Yeah, bottom of the table.
The Moos Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 still beat them though, didnt we. Never said we didn't. But it shows that a league and a cup is two different things. In a league you have to be good all the time (more or less) to finish on top. In a cup you need to be good on the day to reach the top.

Juventus this year is not the club it could be and is severely lacking in many departments, especially up front. They need to refresh the squad and quick, and also need a stable manager (they keep sacking and changing managers left right and center). The result against Fulham was very well deserved, after their performance within the league as well, they were awful results against bottom tiered teams, and couldn't win against the teams that were ahead. To cap it off, they close their season with a friendly against the New York Red Bulls and go down 3-0 in the first half (my brother is a die hard Juve supporter, and was at the game, and couldn't believe how they got manhandled against such low opposition). I couldn't agree more. Juventus has been dire this season. Only two players have been good and that's Chiellini and Marchisio. When only two players is good it's no wonder the team is crap. As for sacking so many managers I see no problem in that since none of them have done a good job. Hopefully our new manager can do what the rest couldn't. And he'll probably have alot of new players to work with as well. The game against New York was awful. Sure, Juventus were missing a few players, but still.
g3.7 Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 moos, wind your neck in. juve wouldn't finish in the top 12 in the premiership, and as I've proved, that's a fact. personally I think they'd have kept hull up. the biggest club in italy, and they can't even fill their pathetic stadium. a wretched club, in a wretched country, supported exclusively by morons (no offence). BREAKING NEWS FOR PAOLO AND HIS SORRY, SORRY COUNTRYMEN luca toni, legendary italian striker backs england to win the world cup. he modelled his game on emile heskey to fluke a medal four years ago, and now seeing the real thing is coming to south africa, he made the logical conclusion. expect these scenes again, losers.

Have I said Juve would finish in the top 12? I'm actually sure they would barely be able to stay in the top divison in England. Just because they are the biggest club in Italy it doesn't mean they have to be great this season. The Juve of this season is so far below their usual standard it's pathetic. But big clubs can't be good every year. And there's no need to be rude.
g3.7 Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 juve have had the best season in their history though! this was the first season in which they managed to go through every game without cheating and being totally corrupt. for that I congratulate them. they've made excellent strides, surely you can see that? every trophy they've ever won is tainted, as far as the footballing world is concerned they have only one season in their history which is not void. in casinos all across europe "doing a juve" is the phrase used for people who try scams. you shou;d be proud that your club is trying to put their shameful, shameful history behind them. they are an example to all of italy.
