Posted January 5, 201114 yr Ah, two of my favourite things; music and pointless Top Ten lists. So, from 2000 through 2010 saw some great and some not so great albums released. Who would you put as your top ten albums? Some of mine would certainly be in the top 10 due to what was going on at that time in my life, not necessarily because they are great albums, but I'd need to think on them some more: Youth and Young Manhood - Kings of Leon Is this It? - The Strokes Taak - Sigur Ros The Bronx - The Bronx Bows and Arrows - The Walkmen There's 5 to get me started
January 5, 201114 yr My top 5: 1. The '59 Sound - The Gaslight Anthem 2. Love, Ire & Song - Frank Turner 3. American Idiot - Green Day 4. Puzzle - Biffy Clyro 5. American Slang - The Gaslight Anthem Really hard to choose the next 5 mind. So many good albums over the past 10 years, though I only started fully appreciating albums around 2005, when I turned 13/14.

January 6, 201114 yr Can't do it Scott, can't nail it down to a top ten. I listen to so much different music depending on the weather, the shoes I'm wearing the strength of my coffee.... But I would say the albums of Porcupine tree/Steven Wilson, PJ Harvey and Pearl Jam have had dominated my listening and concert going since 2000.

I've heard of a few of the artists, but the only ones I own an album by are New Order, and that's their first album, "Movement" which I've still got on vinyl somewhere. Now if the question was, top 10 CDs bought in the last decade...

December 23, 201113 yr For some reason I had not seen this thread until now. Here are ten great albums from '00s in alphabetical order(just had a quick glance at my record collection and wrote them down in the order I saw them): The Aggrolites - IV Arcade Fire - Funeral Andrew Bird - Andrew Bird and the Mysterious Production of Eggs Beirut - The Flying Club Cup Grandaddy - The Sophtware Slump Modest Mouse - Good News For People Who Love Bad News The National - Alligator Jay Reatard - Blood Visions The Sountdtrack of Our Lives - Behind the Music TV on the Radio - Dear Science --- I decided to pick just one album per artist, to give it a bit of variety. Some of these artists released more than one great album in the '00s. But all of those are albums that I still listen to quite (some more than others) often. Edited December 30, 201113 yr by Maksimov
