It pains me to see Carlo having to deliver these ridiculous statements to the media. There is usually nothing to be said and, even if there was, it would be difficult in pigeon English. Either get an interpreter or use a spokesman FFS. Bad enough that the bloke has been hung out to dry without making him appear like a buffoon. Capello was even worse mind.

Nice to see Mick McCarthy repeating John Terry's comments about the Wolves performance, and to see JT being so gracious in defeat. In some peculiar way I took encouragement from that. Perhaps a sign that we're finally coming down to earth

I think Carlo has been handling things fine. IF people in the media want to call him a buffoon, let them, becasue he is the polar opposite, and one of the most dignified managers, in either victory or defeat, out there.

I think he has handled things pretty well. He keeps saying moment, and that down to his struggles with English, but he ackowledges that he is luck to be here, and that things have to change now. He isnt making excuses for himself or the team, and hopefully that kind of responsibility filters its way down to the players.

About Mick and JT, yes, it was superb of JT to say that, probably very true. I like Mick McCarthy so, I guess if we had to have a disasterous loss to anyone, I am glad it was to a manager I like.

I really think the only way from here is up. This might be the smack in the face the team needed becuase they are now being universally laughed at and written off in the press.

Yes!

I condone that positive attitude.

Sacking Carlo would not solve any problems but would only make matters worse.

The problem has to be deeper than just sacking Wilkins.

It appears to me there is an off the field problem causing a good team to be performing so poorly.

It is clear to me Ancelotti has not suddenly become a poor manager.

There is some sort of revolt going on which I find difficult to fathom.

There are issues to be resolved.

Onwards and Upwards, Chelsea!

I agree with clubhappy - pointless thread, started just to be snide and a smartarse. I wonder how many of us could make a clear point in Italian? And that includes Italians.

Well, exactly, so why should we be forced to? I'm supporting Carlo here, you dimwit.

I was hoping the thread might spark some comments about relations with the media in general. Fat chance of that. I should have known better

Apparently Italians do have particular problems pronouncing English, however well they speak it
