This guy for me automatically becomes our 2nd best left sided attacker. And you think that won't get minutes? The guy is also 19 in September, he doesn't need to be playing every minute, I don't know where that thinking has come from but it's clear the issues that is having on players who do play senior football week in week out in their teens.

I look at him and I see a player who if we didn't sign him, he would go to a club for 35m and then in 2 years we would be lamenting why we didn't buy him then when his price is 100m+.

Isnt that the blue co way in signing young players who we believe will be £100 players in the future. Isnt that the same reason we ended up with Mudryk, Madueke, Gittens and all the other potential signings?

Not seen enough of him but there’s nothing to say he won’t be the same as the young players we’ve already got. I like the look of Mika Godts but I don’t think we need to buy anymore maybes.

If the money is right I'm all for it as there is the context of Alonso seeing the lad first hand, not some data driven AI search.

He never did. Kerim only played one preseason friendly game v a German league 4 side. He left Leverkusen because the title winning team got gutted, and they signed a bunch of younger players.

Alonso had zero influence in his development or potential signing.

I liked the look of him at the world cup, looks tricky, fairly two footed, likes a long shot, and he's quite tall for a winger, which I personally quite like.

If he's coming in as a backup on the left for Rogers then I'll be happy with that. I think he seems a closer to fit to the style of winger we seem to think Xabi wants than Gittens/Garnacho are.

Obviously this is all very glass-half-full thinking, but if you can't be optimistic in summer when can you?

That's odd. When I searched the Gemini app said that he recognised his talent when Alonso was first team coach and Alajbegovic was I the U17s. He was then fast tracked into the U19s. When Alonso went to Real Madrid apparently personally reached out to him to outline a personal pitch and development plan with the intent for him to eventually join Real Madrid.
