Some fair accounts from the day. I didn't attend myself bit to young but a couple of my mates did who don't normally get too involved and even they said they were fighting after the game. Watched it in youtube and its is funny, watching our lot walk around the ground. Loved the away games around 84 to 89 we always had big numbers, the man city and sheff Wednesdays games were one's I remember the best.

I went to Cardiff on a few occasions, one was a night game in the league cup went on inter city the game went to extra time if i remember rightly, our escort out of the ground was infiltrated by taffs then most of the Chelsea turned right to get the special so we was left about 30/40 handed to make it all the way to the main station, it kicked off most of the way! then we boarded a train that was only going as far as Bristol we got battered by the Cardiff mob on the train by the time we got off at Bristol we looked a pretty sorry state claret all over and black eyes, then to make things worst we had missed the last train back to London and ended up sleeping on the platform till the mail train turned up at 5am LOL, once the bruises etc had gone down it was all worth it and i wudnt change it for the world, Happy Days.

Heres a Couple of photos from Cardiff away not sure what year this is thopost-4732-0-12840700-1376398001_thumb.jpgpost-4732-0-46197100-1376398017_thumb.jpg?

Ouch! The fun we used to have. Top story Cockney although that is a tale from hell, just glad you can laugh about it now. Never been to Cardiff and I'm bloody glad I didn't, lol! Had a fight on a train once with Ipswich fans but we were more concerned about getting arrested at the next station then the Ipswich fans so not on par with your tale. I must agree I wouldn't change those days totally enjoyed them, proper fans, proper days out!

The bottom picture is 1984 the 3-3 game I believe.

The Cardiff pic made me smile...I went there and took the arsenal missus I had at the time there too...77or 78 maybe...the dog made me remember  that on a green outside the ground a dog attacked me too and pulled me by the leg to the floor..I still have a little v shape left by the dog on my right leg...funny how that pic was so stimulating

Carefree mike, it's dazza, did you see the pics from villa4 chelsea2? We hitched a ride on a coach that day from one of the big stations and even got it to drop us off at the bakers arms that night. Funny funny day!

hello Daz....Nice to see you are on again...mate ive been to so many matches that frankly I don't remember the correct chronology of em all.......All I know is we all had some great times...I remember when you were a kid and ballard brought you to the bridge for the first time...Oy I said to him...Wot you bringing a f**king kid with you for....With my woman on each arm..lol...Now you are a giant fireman and im an old man...how days have gone by so quick.....You going to spunkland in sept

Hey Daz...Just thought...Do you remember Kay the old ex wife goner....do you remember when steve myself and some y*d moved down to sussex to rent a bungalow with snowy......caught steve in the bedroom with her in his red n white striped pants........Talking they said......How dare she try nicking my mate I thought hahaha

Daz cant remember ..Where you in that little mini we bought for 25 quid ( or whatever) and we went to sunderland in it and it started bellowing out smoke on the way and we all had to hitch

Somewhere in this backlog of stories I mentioned steve and his jobs to do on our way to matches...Wed be short of time and steve would say , when we had an hour to get to the match...hold on boys ..Just gotta do a job somewhere miles away and we all had to sit cursing till hed done it

I remember the white cap and I was at orient from 82-84, I used to train with Mervyn day and once told him I was at the game at Brisbane road when we won 7-3. I told him I would have saved at least three of them and he wasn't impressed. Wasn't in the mini mate but done plenty of trips in martins motor, try and find that pic I'd love to see it mate

OId like to know what happened to terry scouser..used to come all over with us..last time I saw him in leyton in the 80s..We had ome back from boozing after a match and were strolling the streets of leyton near steves mums home..Scouse ended up chucking dustbins at some fellow that reckoned we were being noisy

Didn't steve also have trials at the os...Full back or something...I remember when I was really starving one day at steves mums she bought him out a massive steak telling me he got one every day to build him up...She then asked starving little me if I would like one..Politeness overtook and I could hear me saying NO THANK YOU while tears flowed from my eyes

Terry spouse was living in my old tower block years ago and I used to pop round and see him regular. No idea where he is now but I'll ask my mum if he's still about. She's still on the estate tho the tower blocks are gone now. I'm pretty sure he had a kid with a new girlfriend and moved on, I'll try and find out
