I saw Yesil and Emre Can really impress in a youth tournament last year. Really surprised Liverpool signed Yesil under the radar for buttons.

Could go either way though, I also remember Ryan Babel and Mateo Rigters impress for a dutch youth team, both players failed miserably at Liverpool and Blackburn respectively.

Feruz has just returned from an injury and was played out of position.

Thought Ake was world class (at least compared to the rest) once again. Boga looked fantastic when he came on, he must play from the start. Bamford scored an amazing goal, good to get him started.

Our midfield was absolutely horrifying though. What was their passing completion? Chalobah will be very missed in these tough games.

Shame with the two first goals, horrible keeper mistake and a sloppy challenge from Conteh, but the boys will learn.

FT 4-1 Liverpool. Very pleased with u21's of Liverpool. Especially Adorjan and Ngoo. I still don't know who was the number 10 for Chelsea. Looked a bright spark.

Ignoring the result ( ) I thought it was quite an even game until late on. Liverpool had the first half, and Chelsea had the second up until the goals started going in. I think Chelsea`s 10 was Bamford who does look a great prospect after we got him from forest.

Bamford was 9. No 10 was Billy Clifford.

I've compared Bamford to a young Shearer before, and I still feel that it is similarities. Of course, he needs another 250-ish goals in the PL to be compared to the Geordie Tit, but the way he took his goal (on his weaker foot) showed something special. Wouldn't mind seeing him get a couple of Mickey Mouse-cup matches up front.

He is the same kind of striker as Kerry previous to Dixon's stomach injury. Whether he'll be that good is difficult to say, but he is a consistent performer for the Youth Team, even though he is playing in an isolated role alone up front.
