My grandparenst must have heard them. No doubt.

 

At 04:45 the first air raids were conducted against airfields and communication centers.

 

Two days later, on the morning of 12 may, in response to Belgian pressure and necessity, the Royal Air Force and the Armée de l'Air undertook several air attacks on the German-held Maastricht and Meuse bridges to prevent German forces flowing into Belgium.

Really interesting. Where in Belgium are you from? I have been to Ypres to see Tyne Cot & The Menin Gate. The Cloth Hall is magnificent too.
